Broly's Super Saiyan Form

If Broly's Super Saiyan form is accessed by intense sorrow, then how I wonder did Yamoshi achieve the form if indeed he did achieve it?

I know Kale first transformed when she felt like Caulifla had abandoned her in favor of Cabba and in Dragon Ball Super Broly, Broly achieved the form due to grief over his father's death.

Possibly yes. I theorize that Broly and Kale's basic Super Saiyan forms could be accessed the first time the same way Caulifla did with her Super Saiyan form.
