Dream Game in Dragonball
A Dragon Ball Z Legacy Of Goku "remake" RPG game, with cutscenes, all sagas including movies, gameplay like Tenkaichi (For the "Block" in the visual the enemies and for moves, not other) , dub in italian ( Yes, i'm italian !
) , really long game, cell shading like Burst limit, Bruce Falcouner's or Budokai's musics, the telecamera like Kingdom Hearts, is possibile have one or two allys in the game, a lots of new things and scenes, fly in all world, but don't like Tenkaichi (Loading the game when i enter in a city or other places) but like GTA, is possibile teach an attack from a character (Like Vegeta do a Kamehameha or Goku do a Distructo Disk) and cooperative (4 players) and competitive (4 players) mode !
I think that is impossible, but this is my dream game !

I would like to see something to the effect of another Super DBZ only in the sprite-animated style of most Capcom fighting games. Similar to what a lot of people attempt with Mugen.
I figure that something that truly is hand-drawn and animated would look better for a game that's trying to come off as looking like the manga. There could be page-effects in the stages themselves that take notes from the Jump Super/Ultimate Stars games or something like Comix Zone. It could really give off the feel of "the manga coming to life."
Create-a-character would be cool and would fit in with this game rather well, too, because Super DBZ didn't have a very tightly-woven storyline that introducing some unknown character would affect negatively.
With a game that's made in 2D in our generation of consoles and handhelds, such a game could be ported to pretty much everything out there pretty easily. Of course, definition, resolution, and controls would be a few things that would need to be worked through, but you could still easily include the overall look, feel, and gameplay on any console.
Even if create-a-character and 2D sprite animation weren't part of a new Super DBZ, and new Super DBZ in general that tweaked some issues existing in the first one, added some new moves, and introduced about three or four more characters that the first one didn't have as well as individual endings for each character would still be really cool.
I don't remember if Super DBZ had this or not, but it would also be cool if it had a game speed option similar to the Street Fighter games (Normal, Turbo, etc.).

Because, you know, creating a character is so horrible. It would ruin the franchise.Rocketman wrote:My dream game would have a "create-a-character" option that, when selected, would mildly shock the player. The more times the option is selected, the more powerful the shock.
[edit]I was also thinking that it would be cool if there were a Dragonball fighting game that... I'm not sure how to explain it... but the way the story played out was, while being a close or accurate adaption of the series, would also play out more like a traditional fighting game. Something similar to the Butoden games or even something more Capcom-ish.
It wouldn't necessarily bring anything new to the table that we don't know about the series, but it would present it in a different way that could make things like Super Saiyan transformations and timeskips much more interesting to look at if portrayed in a manner more like a traditional fighter.
To me, it would kind of put a mystique back into it all so that seeing something like Son Goku showing off Super Saiyan 3 and then having the plot twist of it being so stressful that it used up a lot of his remaining time in the living world would seem kind of fresh and interesting rather than simply being "Oh. Yeah. This again."[/edit]
I agree we need a game that is not made to take advantage of powerfull hardwares, but something that could be ported pretty easy to every console because.. well they are only making games to test hardwares.
they should go back to sprites, hand drawned manga style.
I have much more fun playing battle in DB adventure in GBA than
playing tenkaichi. sorry for saying this.

This may have been what gave me the idea for a not-quite-VR-type DB game of sorts, where you'd have like, Nyoui-bo and a Dragon Radar (and probably something else, since those don't make for quite the perfect interface... *imagines chibi Goku with a scouter*), and it'd be awesome to find a way to work in Kento-un (though that's harder than the others...Corson D. Burly wrote:My dream Dragonball game would have to be something along the lines of the Zelda games on the 64. Of course, it would take place in the early half.
Over all, it wouldn't be too hard (The visor/hand control/leg control type games have shown up at Wal-mart before)... but any such thing would probably wind up on the Wii.
Oh, well! *goes off to imagine having a yellow cloud as a vehicle*

If you feel that way about character creation in a video game, then what are your thoughts on the live action movie and it's "additions" to the series?
Personally, I would really like to see Dragon Ball vs. Capcom or an RPG like Legacy of Goku II and Buu's Fury.
Trans rights, now!

Because, it's all about showing off your creativity instead of just doing what you want for the fun of it.Rocketman wrote:I don't mind. ...
I call taking bets on who will win in the inevitable online battle between Rocketman's Vegeto Vs Kendamu's... ... whoever Kendamu uses!
The thing about character creation in DB games that makes me unsure is the... variety? In the overall cast--I mean, most people would probably go "ZOMG supa sajin amethyst eye!", I find it hard to imagine a cce (especially with the relative laziness in the Sparking! series) enabling the sort of variety we see in pre-Piccolo DB and Freeza's minions and ... Etc. *shrug*.
... And I'd totally hate on it unless it's accessible enough for me.

Some kind of Super Real-Time RPG like "Kingdom Hearts" that starts at the beginning of Dragon Ball, and goes through the entire series, movies and all. It'll be like a Sagas RPG, except it won't suck. It'll be on the 360 and PS3, and be, like 4 discs long.
Then, as an extra unlockable, you can get the "OVA" storyline.

... Granted, as it stands, even if it were finished, I think people would complain about the graphics quality.
Yeah, it's probably on hiatus unless I can get semipermanent help with stuff...
</shameful plugging>
Ur... yeah... but I want it, too.
