I think 'Chris Sabat is half the cast' is pretty darn funny, since it's pretty much true.

I guess it's a good thing that we're not the ones getting paid to constantly flaw Dragonball stuff for English-speaking audiences.

I made a couple of my own covers a while ago. I was using them for VHS episodes that I transfered onto DVD.

If anyone has a nice cleanly scanned high res version of an orange brick, don't hesitate to give me it, I need a cleaner Dragonball Z logo that wasn't found on Google images.
Here's a high resolution Dragonball Z logo in PNG format:

I'm feelin' a creativity vibe coming on! I'd like to try and make some covers, but I need a reference; could somebody give some detailed scans of the 'Orange Brick', from all the seasons? With that, I'd be able to better create my own- but people have gotta tell me what they want in the cover...

Anyone have a good template for normal DVDs and slim DVDs?

No no, I mean the logo used on the DVD, which that certain... shadow, that I can't duplicate. I think I almost did it once in Adobe Illustrator, but using so many layers for those letters is just too damn annoying. I'll use the Saiyan Sans font of course.

Or does anyone have just the layout of the Dragon ball sets and Orange bricks without any text or pictures?

If Selmod's not around to complete these covers, I can reproduce them to a high quality and change/add/ enhance things at people's request (just need those scans mentioned in my upper post).

I'm gonna try DBGT ones like it, but I have no time to do it tonight.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Here's what I've got so far for season sets two, three and four. The actual size is pretty big, so I had to resize 'em to about 25% of the actual size. As suggested, I used the kanzenban images. But I didn't want to completely abandon FUNi's DB style packaging (and there's also the need to be consistent, since I used SelMod's season one cover), so I kept it.

Image
For the sake of not having too much white space on the front, I kept Goku's space ship behind Freeza and what you can see of the other Ginyu Force members behind Ginyu.

Any further critiques/suggestions/etc. are very much welcome. As you can tell, I haven't really done that much work for sets three and four. I also need screencaps from those sets, since I stopped buying them at season two (I was only able to get them from season four because of that forum made of it a while back). I wanted to get at least one screencap for every saga, so I was saving one slot on the season four set for Garlic Jr.

EDIT: ... and yeah, I'll make sure to get the dimensions right when I finalize everything .

I like the use of Kanzenban (right?) images, but it seems cluttered compared to SelMod's originals. I'd say stick to the Budokai art, personally; however, I understand there's only so many images of one character.
All in all, though, they *do* look good.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I have all the sets thus far, so if you can name any specific screencap you want, I should be able to capture it at pretty good quality.

Man, now I would like to divide the fullscreen GT DVDs and give them covers in this style for consistency.

DaemonCorps, those covers are great. However I think they would look better if they simply said 'Namek Saga' and 'Android Saga'

Yeah, I tried going back and re-making the cover for season two using the Budoukai art, but they're all done in a way that you can't arrange them to cover up most of the white space. Season one was different in that Raditz and Nappa are massive enough to cover up most of the white space on their own.

I'll mess around with the covers later to see if I can do any better with the Budoukai art.

Well, while I can get the season two screencaps myself, it'd be great if you can do 'em for me. I was thinking of the screencap of the three Nameks arriving to fight Dodoria and another of Kuririn and Gohan fighting Ginyu/Goku.

As for the third season, the only screencap I have in mind is when Freeza does his final blast at Goku before Goku just blasts it right back at him. I'm open for any other screencaps for the other two.

For season four, I figured I'd just take something from each saga. So, just get anything cool looking from the Garlic Jr. Saga.

...though if you have anything else in mind for any of the season sets, feel free to bring 'em up. I haven't seen a good part of the series, so I might be missing out on something.
