Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Why Does Cell Grow And Then Shrink Between Forms?

Post by theherodjl » Sat Jan 11, 2020 4:39 am

Cell gains the mass of two Androids...yet he shrinks to be even smaller than his Imperfect form. I don't remember anyone ever stating that Cell is simply a lot more dense than his previous forms so what is the deal with that?
Is it possible that Android 17 & 18 are partially/completely converted to Ki thus why Cell's power sky rockets upon absorbing them both? Does Cell's body eliminate the excess mass in the process of transforming into his Perfect form? Could it even be a case of Cell being able to store the Androids' mass in some sort of pocket dimension contained within himself?
Is Cell's anatomy just a mystery?

It is a mystery just how 18 fully fits inside of him. If she was just energy inside of Perfect Cell, when he devolved and puked her, did he re-create her?
