Looking for song names from the original BGM.

Post by Forumgoer » Sat Mar 29, 2008 11:33 pm

There are a bunch of soundtracks out there, and my head is spinning a little! So I just want to know what the titles are of a couple pieces I really like:

- The song that plays when Goku is about to perform a Kaio-ken x20 against Freeza.
- The song that plays when Goku is transforming into a Super Saiyan for the first time.
- The song that plays when Vegeta is charging up the Final Flash.

Anyone know? I tried searching the forums, but I don't think they've been mentioned.

None of these have definite titles, since the soundtracks mostly are compiled tracks (meaning each track is a medley of several different BGM pieces). There is, however, my still incomplete BGM documentation, where I've given each theme a fan-based title. If you want to know, the ones you mentioned are the ones I refer to as:

1. A Sign Of Hope (from DBZ Movie 3) - otherwise known around here as the "dun dun dun" song :)
2. Garlic Jr. Summons Up The Dead Zone (from DBZ Movie 1)
3. Slugg Summons Shen Long (from DBZ Movie 4)

And, since you probably want to know the titles for the sake of knowing which CD to buy...
- The first one can only be found on Ongakushu vol. 1, track 4, third piece.
- The second is on Ongakushu vol. 1 (track 2, piece 1); the 5-disc set (disc 4, track 11, piece 3); and the BGM Collection (disc 1, track 15, piece 3)
- The last one is on Ongakushu vol. 1 (track 5, piece 1); the 5-disc set (disc 5, track 10, piece 1); and the BGM Collection (disc 1, track 23, piece 1).

Hope this answers your question(s).
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.
