I'm not sure if you're being influenced by being here on this Dragon Ball fan forum but GT is widely considered to be utter garbage compared to the other series. It is complete and utter trash.

Sure they add other characters because it's more content but there'd be a game for it again. Nothing wrong with Super Saiyan 4 Goku being in a game though.

It's like if Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are the equivalent of Batman and Batman Returns then Dragon Ball GT is the awful Batman and Robin.

This isn’t the place for you to bitch about GT. Make the appropriate thread for that, not in the game section.

Sounds Dragon Ball Super. Why are you describing Dragon Ball Super?

While playing DBZ:K, I started thinking that DB could definitely be a part of this kind of game. Adventure around the globe, why not? but I'm guessing it will be something for PS5.
A DBZ: Kakarot that tells the story of kid Goku, which is not that long, and after Z let's you go around the universe and back (GT), or to other universe (DBS)

Except that it's being re-aired in Japan right now in 2020. If it was so bad, then why would they continue to show it? Oh wait, maybe because it's not.

"Widely" is a wide exeggaretion of yours. Reddits and Gamefaqs don't make even 10% of total DB fanbase.

I’m happy they are adding Super stuff. They will probably keep them as Z so BoG and RoF, thus very likely no Bulma boat.
GT stuff would probably be too much work, while Super stuff would mostly use the existing assets.

How will we fight Beerus on King Kai’s planet, though? And will they add a stratosphere setting for the final Goku vs Beerus fight?

SSG Vegeta will most likely be in the 1st DLC as an extra mission afterwards, so as to please his fans and build towards RoF which will most likely be DLC 2.

Then we are seemingly getting a new game-exclusive story, right? I wonder what it will be. And I wonder how will they add RoF, as the game’s canon has Goku reviving Freeza. And Pilaf gang most likely won’t be included either.

Honestly I kinda wished they could expand Z in their own way, considering how this game’s canon doesn’t fit with modern DB stuff. It feels a lot as if it was released pre-BoG.
They could have made some original story set after Buu arc, and then their own take on Uub and his final fight with Goku to wrap up the narrative.

What I consider canonical

If it’s just the modern Z movies it’s not bad. I mean I can just not equip Red and Blue while in free roam lol.

The original story is what’s really interesting me at this point. I’m hoping it’s end of Z related but I doubt it.

I've heard it is not and there is no Uub or anything like that. My guess is it has to do with EoZ probably being retconned in the near future, or withsome future Super's DLC.

so I just made it to the Saiyan saga and got into a fight without knowing about how strong those dang robots were. Killed poor Gohan Dead.  I'm still kinda confused on how all the community stuff works.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

They actually directly reference Oob and the end of Z in the footnotes of the Chapter 8 summary for the Boo Saga

LOL, bruh, if you're talking about when the bots get extra strong with the huge red auras, same shit happened to me. I flew right towards them excited to fight stronger opponents and got bodied in 3 seconds...hahaha.

Same LOL. The first one appeared and I was like “ok that shouldn’t be too bad” then I saw level 31 and got one shotted. Even now I’m afraid to fight the level 50 ones lol

King Kai planet is already a playable area in the game, so it is possible to recreate the fight between Goku and Beerus in that place. Maybe make it a little bigger or make the planet indestructible. The stratosphere also occupies a good part of the fight, so it has to be in the DLC.
I just wonder if they will follow the movies or the anime, because in the movie Goku fights in a kind of cave with Beerus (which exists in XV and FighterZ I think too)

And since the game is explaining several details of the series, maybe they'll show Vegeta getting the SSG before Blue during training with Whis, putting the transformation in the game without having to adapt DBS Broly

A few pointers about the combat.

It's really useful to break the enemy's stamina bar if you can. The enemy takes a ton of damage during those moments and the techniques will be cinematic.

If you fly fast towards grunts from behind and they're not low levelled, you will do a sneak attack. Damaging the enemy before they can attack.

Pressing Guard + Ki Blast will have you preform an invincible counter attack. You don't need to be attack for it to work.

Spam your supports attack. You will then be able to use a Team Combo with L1 & R1 once the gauge is full. It's invincible and does a ton of damage.

Last, MAX out the training community. You will have the combat XP X 2 perk as a result. Resulting in no grinding whatsoever.

But you bitched at my comment when it was only said in passing.

No, you're being influenced by this forum. On Myanimelist, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z have a 8.1 and 8.3, good scores. Even Dragon Ball Super has a 7.6 which is pretty solid.

Dragon Ball GT however has a paltry 6.6 which is terrible by that sites standards.

It's even worse on Anime Planet, it only has a 6.1 there.

Even aside from that though, you don't need to see the low scores to know if for yourself. You only to watch it to know how bad it actually is.

It's why none of these games will ever really cover it in any significant way. There's never going to be a Dragon Ball GT Kakarot because people hate GT so it wouldn't sell. OG Dragon Ball isn't popular so that wouldn't sell.

Which as I said leaves only Dragon Ball Super Kakarot as the only real option for the developers.

Dragon Ball Super was crap too. Really most of what comes out of this whole franchise isn't very good but it was on a whole other level from GT.

The thing with Super is that at times it would be crap and then other times passable and then some times good. It was never like that for GT, at no point was that show ever good. It was passable at best for a few episodes around Baby coming to Earth but 90% of the show was just horrific.

A lot of Super was horrific but leaned more so at the start. People generally like it though unlike GT so makes sense it would get a game.

I haven't finished the story so I don't want to go through the topic so sorry if what I'm about to post has already been talked about.

With that said, here are some massive spoilers regarding the future DLC as these character designs were found in the game's files.

We knew there were placeholder names in the game data for Beerus & Whis, but this is the first for SSG & SSGSS Vegeta.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.
