Usually I don't have much fun with Challenge Rushes, but that Goku one entertained me a lot. It also was a motivation to level up and soul boost my characters in order to complete the challenge.

Didn't finished the story mode where Shallot finally becomes SSJ3 (so no spoiler please), but I hope he at least get's a new fighting style.

For God's sake from SSJ Goku (even it's several variations) to SSJ2 and SSJ3 we see the cleary difference of the movement when their Melee cards are selected. It would be a shame to SSJ3 Shallot to remains with his Base fighting style.

Didn't really pay attention to the fighting style, but killing Super Vegito in 3 strikes was something.

I think if you're f2p, investing in Zenkai characters is the safest bet. At least you are guaranteed in the portals and these characters are competitive.

On the story mode side of things, it was cool to see Shallot properly step into the hero role this time. I like that they didn't even let you use him for most of the chapter (while pitting you against dark-type enemies) so his entrance held more weight.

Sure, showing up in the nick of time to save the sidekicks and style on the villains is classic Goku, but it was new to see it happen against Buu. Goku never really got to be the returning hero in that arc because he was too busy being flighty and irresponsible.

The story so far...

Shallot, our protag, is an ancient saiyan with memory loss who is one of many that has been thrown into a world spanning tournament that is various fighters across time fighting against one another. Well, I say tournament, but it just a free-for-all with safe zones where everyone is free to fight as they please. When Shallot wakes up, he is found by Future Trunks who explains a few basic things before they are both attacked by Broly, who they can't defeat together. Even when Goku joins in, Trunks seems to end up getting killed when he gets in the way of a blast Broly sends at Shallot.

After this, Shallot meets up with Dragon Ball Bulma and Present Day Jaco, they team up and head to the safe zone city. Shallot goes off to fight a few filler enemies while waiting for his memory to come back or something to happen and ends up saving Kid Gohan and meeting a swordsman called Zahha. Team up, they're beaten by Raditz. Jaco brings them to Beerus and Whis who reveal that they are in the midst of a hostage situation. A mysterious person has captured the Supreme Kai and forced Beerus to use the Super Dragon Balls to create this tournament under the threat of killing Shin. Since Beerus nor Whis can do anything about this situation without risking Shin's life, they get Shallot and Co to investigate undetected (Goku volunteers, but Beerus specifically notes that Goku and his reputation would draw way too much attention since he's too powerful and most participants in this tournament want to kill him). Noting Shallot's failure to beat Raditz, Beerus forces Saiyan Saga Vegeta and Nappa to train Shallot to kill Raditz.

Eventually, you kick Raditz's ass, before he then gets back up and gets the spoopy purple aura. His cruelty triggers Shallot and gives the Saiyan a little power boost to win. Zahha leaves the group and Piccolo takes Gohan away to train while Shallot follows the trail of destruction that apparently HE left. Turns out he has a hooded twin who wants to cleanse and balance the Saiyan race and who Shallot definitely seems to know. Goku comes in to try and fight, but the Hooded Man gets away. Beerus and Whis speculate on this and throw out the possibility of another 'Black situation', but in the end they just don't know. As the story continues, Turles ends up kidnapping Bulma under the guise of helping Lord Frieza, only for Shallot to learn that a 'fake' Lord Frieza is leading the Frieza force now (Right now, I'm assuming it's either Frost or Cooler) and thus has to ally himself with Frieza to fight the 'imposter', playing double agent. A few more fights and Turles seems to make it clear that he's playing both sides, supplying 'Frieza' with fruit from the tree of might while also helping Shallot out. You also fight and recruit the Ginyu Force here, with Captain Ginyu instantly realizing who the real Frieza is because Frieza radiates such 'grace and poise!'.

Frieza gets Shallot to bring in new recruits alongside Appule, who basically acts as Shallot's number one fan (Who ends up almost blowing Shallot's cover when mistaking Tien and Yamcha greeting 'Lord Shallot' as an insult). Shallot recruits Nappa and Vegeta for support while Appule recruits... Android 19. Who, upon meeting Frieza, gleefully informs them that he's a spy and has transmitted the location to the Red Ribbon Army base. He escapes and Frieza executes Appule for the screw up, which pisses Shallot off. However, when Shallot ttries to attack Frieza, Vegeta gets in the way and fights Shallot, telling Shallot that they have to bide their time and wait for the right moment if they want to beat Frieza. Otherwise, how are they going to rescue Bulma?

The next day, to maximize efficiency and to teach you discipline, Shallot is forced to serve under the Ginyu Force as Frieza executes a plan to reveal the Fake Frieza's base of operations by spreading his forces far enough to leave himself exposed. First, you're teamed up with Guldo and Recoome, who treat you like a kid while trying to also show off how many enemies they can take down, all whiel being shown up by Shallot. Then Burter and Jeice, who get into an argument about whose the second-in-command, staking it on who can take out the most enemies, onyl to find that Shallot beats most of the enemies while the two are arguing, leaving them to decide with rock-Paper-Siccors. Ginyu is where it gets interesting as it develops Shallot's character a little more.

Ginyu notes how powerful Shallot is and the well of potential there, but highlights that Shallot's attitude is holding the saiyan back. Shallot calls their poses stupid, but Ginyu tells him that his men's morale and spirit are key to them being the 'Ultimate Fighting Force' and that without them they'd just be random soldiers who couldn't express themselves. Shallot lacks resolve because he can only see this entire situation as just something he needs to get over and done with. The Ginyu Force have more resolve because this isn't just their job that they do because they fear death by Frieza, it's their passion and duty to do so, bringing it back to Vegeta's mention of Saiyan pride.

So, Ginyu sets Shallot a task, create his own pose or don't bother coming to fight. Shallot phones up Beerus and Jaco to say he can't do it, but they remind him that if he screws this up, he won't be able to be there to save Bulma. If he's not on the battlefield when they assault the main base, neither Frieza nor his men will put any effort into saving Bulma, she'll probably die in the cross fire. Jaco takes over the call and tells Shallot that he'll teach Shallot his pose that's sure to impress the Ginyu Force. THe next day, the Ginyu Force goes through their poses, when it comes to Shallot's turn everybody is watching. Shallot stikes Jaco's pose and... The Ginyu Force can't beleive how much that pose sucks, feeling sorry with how embarassed Shallot must feel. But, through the comments, Ginyu tells them all that while the pose isn't the most refined one, how good it looks wasn't the point of it. What matters is that in taht pose he could see and feel Shallot's resolve to his mission and Ginyu respects that.

The main base is found and everyone gathers to engage on the stage that is very clearly the island from Resurrection F. Frieza tells everybody that the Fake Frieza is his target alone, Shallot locks eyes with Turles from across the water and...

The battle begins, with Team Vegeta you and Nappa start sweeping the floor with the opposite army, leading to a few missions of banter between Shallot, Vegeta and Nappa while Ginyu and Frieza converse on the enemy's endurance. No matter how many they kill, more join the frey. Soon, even Android 19 makes his return leading some of the forces. Starting off the fight, you get a good few blows in before 19 reveals his ability to absorb energy attacks, leading to...
"Aha! Without the ability to fire ki at me, you have no chance"
"Alright, then we'll just have to rip your pale chromedome apart by hand"
"...Oh"

I'm paraphrasing here.

When you kill 19 more of the enemy soldiers start to suspect that they picked the wrong side and that they're working for a fake. Upon seeing this, Turles calls for the fighting to stop so that Frieza can meet with the fake and while everyone sees an obvious trap there, Turles makes a point that this is a good opportunity to learn about the Fake Frieza and get the personal kill. Again, it's clear that Turles has some ulterior motives here and isn't really loyal to the Fake Frieza. Vegeta tells Frieza to let him, Nappa and Shallot come along as well, scheming in his mind. If the two Frieza's fight each other, the winner will be worn out enough for Vegeta and co to jump in for the killing blow. Two birds, one stone.

Inside the ship, you come face to face with... FROST.

Shallot: So this is the fake Frieza? He's so simple. Even less impressive than I imagined...

And this isn't just a Frost from some random timeline, no, no, no: This is Tournament of Power Frost. When brought to this tournament and learning that there was a version of Frieza being here, he came up with this 'Fake Frieza' scheme to pay Frieza back for the betrayal at the tournament, hoping to humiliate and anger Frieza as much as he was back in the Tournament of Power. Upon hearing this, Frieza calls him utter trash for being as childish as to put all this work into something as trivial as revenge (Oh Frieza, you hypocrite you) and tells Frost that he could never be Frieza. Frost, in a blind rage, attacks Frieza, prompting TUrles to come in to fight Vegeta and Co.

Turles is defeated soundly, saying something cryptic about how they better hope Frieza survives. At this Vegeta tells Shallot to accompany him to go help Frieza while Nappa watched their new prisoner. Frost seems to be edging out a win in their fight, but as Frost points out to Vegeta's shock, Frieza is still in his first form. This scares Vegeta and enrages Frost because it shows that Frieza is still not taking him seriously, so he starts eating some Tree of Life Fruit. A fight ensues and he more than easily handles Frieza, Vegeta and Shallot. However, Frieza is still calm and STILL refuses to transform, goading Fridge into eating more and more fruit. Vegeta wants to run, but Shallot scoffs while Frieza tells him that the sentence for running is death. More fighting ensues and Frost just seems to be getting stronger, there's just no hope- And here's where Frieza's plan comes in. Turns out that like most power enhancing substances, taking multiple at the same time can be a bit fatal. Frost only realizes this as his entire body starts caving in on itself and before he can say 'Please don't break my butt', Frieza erases him, once more calling him trash.

Frieza reinstates his army, Vegeta directs him to Turles for interrogation and Shallot searches the ship for Bulma...

Turles and Frieza talk for a bit with Turles revealing that yes, he has been playing Frost the whole time for the sake of learning more about the Tree of Might Fruit. A goal that doesn't need to make him and Frieza enemies. Frieza agrees and the two form an alliance, Turles introducing Frieza to his bennefactor, Dr. Gero, who designed all the androids Frost was using to fight, revealing that he was the one who instructed Turles to kidnap Bulma so he could use her comparable intellect to further his research on modifying the genes of powerful fighters. Turles remarks that he hopes Shallot won't be a problem considering that resscuing Bulma is the only reason Shallot is here, but Frieza assures him that it won't mean anything before making an announcement to his troops: Shallot, Vegeta and Nappa are all traitors. Kill them on sight.

It's revealed that Goku is there as well, hiding somewhere and eavesdropping on the evil allaince. He mutters to himself that he needs to tell Beerus about this and teleports away.

With the Saiyan Trio turning up nothing on Bulma, they're close to giving up hope when they're contacted by... Bulma? While forced to work for Gero at metaphorical gunpoint, she sneakily used her time to create somthing she could use to contact Shallot and tell him where she was. She breifly fawns over Vegeta beinga Prince before Gero returns to ask about her progress, cutting off the message and leaving the trio with her location. As soona s the call ends, the trio are attacked by Frieza soldiers, quickly learning that Frieza has fucked them over and that they have to get the hell out of dodge (Despite how much Shallot wants to fight Frieza, Nappa and Vegeta pull him away to rescue Bulma).

After a few filler fights, they arrive at Gero's lab, quickly encountering and dealing with an onslaught of Android 19's. Their last obsticle is Gero, who is absolutely furious, holding Bulma as a human shield against Shallot as he rants about his important research. As Shallot curses about not being able to fight without hitting Bulma- BOOM, Vegeta arrives behind Gero and shoots the man in the back, getting Bulma out of there with a gruff tsunder comment that annoys Bulma. This leaves Gero open for Shallot and Nappa to take down. Though he is presumably killed here, I doubt this is the last we've heard of him since he probably has back ups of himself.

The trio leave the lab and start blowing it the fuck up to screw over Frieza and destroy all the research Turles and Gero have built up. However, Turles arrives to stop them, sending soldiers inside the lab to retreive something. You fight him, but he gets away with whatever he retrieved from the lab, leaving Bulma and Shallot to celebrate the victory. Shallot acting like a worried mother asking Bulma if she's eaten enough and what he can hunt for her. After she jokes about him having no money to get her what she wants they turn to discuss what to do about the Frieza situation now that they've been betrayed.

Shallot wants to fight. Vegeta and Nappa tell him he's being an idiot, but Shallot doesn't care. After seeing how Frieza treats his men, killing poor Appule, treating Vegeta like a pet, stabbing them all in the back, Shallot isn't going to take this any more. Vegeta and Nappa can run away to hide if they like, but he's a saiyan damn it and he's going to kick Frieza's ass!

Frieza: Oh, are you now?
Vegeta: Shit. Shit! SHIT!

Frieza is oh-so-happy that they all waited here for him to deal with tehm personally, he was worried that Turles would have killed them before Frieza had a chance ot see the look of despair on their faces. First things first, Frieza will be taking Bulma, with Gero blown up he's going to need a new scientist who he could keep a personal leash on. Shallot tells Frieza to go to hell, yelling for Vegeta and Nappa to take Bulma as far away from here as they can, to which Frieza responds with a 'Well, I only need her alive, not intact' before attempting to shoot at Bulma... Only for his death beam to be stopped by Goku.

Goku isn't recognised by anyone but Shallot and Bulma, who are relieved to see him. Frieza is angered by this intrusion and asks who the hell Goku thinks he is. Goku, bluntly and innocently, tells Frieza about their fight on Namek in the era Goku's from to which Frieza is furious to hear about. He assumes Goku is joking and, like Frost, is a wretch from another timeline who'd been humiliated by Frieza. It makes no difference, if Goku wants to prove himself, he can fight Frieza right here, right no-

Goku: Oh, sorry, I'm not here to fight you, just get Bulma. Beerus is already mad at me for being here. Shallot's the one that's going to kill you. Besides, at my level, it'd be a pretty one-sided fight, no offense.

Yeah, Goku is only here to rescue Bulma. However, his orders were to retreive Shallot too since Beerus needs Shallot in tact as apart of the deal. But Goku tells Frieza that Shallot will be the one to kill him, to which Shallot confirms and thanks Goku for the oppertunity. Goku tells him, and later Beerus, that he can do it, he's almost 'there'. After passing two sensu beans to SHallot, he's gone with one instant transmission and the battle begins. Vegeta and Nappa decide to stay and fight, Vegeta telling Shallot that Frieza would have found them eventually. Better to stay and die fighting like a Saiyan than running from death as a coward for a few more days.

For their best chance of winning, Vegeta tells Shallot and Nappa to take on the Ginyu Force while he handles Frieza elsewhere. Shallot tries to aruge, but Vegeta tells him that they ahve to put their personal conenctions aside here, no matter how much Shallot hates Frieza, he won't stand a chance fighting him. Shallot agrees and tosses the beans to Vegeta before Vegeta leaves with Frieza. Ginyu holds back the rest of the force and sends out some soldiers, saying he wants to watch Shallot fight first. After those fights are done, Ginyu is dissappointed. He reveals that Shallot is holding back, yelling to Shallot that if he wants any hope of going to fight Frieza, he needs to hit them with all he has. He even starts giving Shallto and Nappa tips.

The Force are confused on why Ginyu is helping Shallot out, Ginyu tells them and Shallot that Shallot is way too dumb to be holding back for the purpose of conserivng energy for his fight against Frieza, whihc means Shallot is holding back because he doesn't want to fight them. No matter how Shallot demands it, he doesn't want to hurt the Ginyu Force and they feel the same way. Ginyu says that no matter if their duty to Lord Frieza is above all else, no matter if Shallot is the enemy... He's still the sixth member of the Ginyu Force. The rest of the force exchange simmilar comments and Shallot sorta admits it. But Ginyu reminds them that no amtte rtheir personal ties, they ahve to be resolute in their duties, they have to fight here and Shallot better fight to win like they are no matter if it feels bad afterwards. It's the respect each of them deserves.

The fight ensues and one-byone the Ginyu Force falls, but by the end of it Shallot doesn't kill them. However they still get back up to fight. Shallot yells at them to stay down and not push themselves too hard, Ginyu admiting that he is ashamed that he would end this battle by outnumbering Shallot, asking if he looks like a coward now. Shallot says he understands, promising to fight to the bitter end.

"Well spoken, Shallot. As the sixth member of the Ginyu Force- You will fall by our hands!"

Before they can fight, Nappa suddenly yells out for them to stop, telling Shallot that he's a mornon for not taking this oppertunity to run to help Vegeta. The Ginyu Force? Pfft, Nappa can take care of them. There are more important things than this fight and the Ginyu Force, besides, Nappa doesn't like them getting all high-and-mighty over Shallot. "Let's get one thing clear! I'M his teacher, got it? Not you!" Ginyu laughs and says that Nappa isn't worhty of being Shallot's teacher, which Shallot disagrees with in a quick mutter.

Shallot: Nappa, you can't take all of them on at once!
Nappa: Forgotten your teachings already? I told you that you're a hundred years too young to be worrying about your teacher! Do you really want to stay here and finish these guys off? If you get what I'm saying, then get a move on. GO!

After Nappa literally kicks Shallot out of the fight, Ginyu wonders if Nappa is letting Shallot go while he stays behind because of the pride he feels as a teacher, going on to ask Nappa what the point of letting Shallot go is. Nappa knows that SHallot stands no chance against Frieza, right? He's rpactically sending his student to his death, what's wrong with him!? Nappa tells Ginyu that it doesn't matter whether Shallot can or cannot beat Frieza. What matters is that Shallot wants to try. He's granting his pupil's wish and if he's going to risk his life, the rival better be worth it. Ginyu regards this as classic heavy-handed Saiyan kindness.

Ginyu: Nappa, do you intend to die here?
Nappa: Heh, beats me.
Ginyu: I always thought of you as Vegeta's lackey... But I see I was wrong. Very well, we'll devote the last of our lives to this battle too!

There's an explosion. Shallot looks back and... He can't feel their ki anymore.

He already misses them.

Shallot arrives in the middle fo Frieza and Vegeta's battle, Vegeta's faring well considering his opponent. He tells Shallot that he already knows of Nappa's demise and that they have a fight to win. Shallot tags in and the fight ensues. As you'd expect from the Frieza fight, they push Frieza ot the limit, he transforms, rinse and repeat. For the first form, Vegeta already knows thanks to the fight with Frost, though he still can't believe the power Frieza has. When Frieza powers up to his second form, he easily knocks the tired Vegeta aside and rushes Shallot. Luckily, Vegeta takes one of the sensu beans and gets back on his feet, helping Shallot beat back Frieza and force him to transform once more (Zenkai boost and all). The third form proves powerful, it's speed far outclassing them, however when Shallot looks to be at his limit, Vegeta hands him the last beam. In an inner monologue, Vegeta can't understand why he did that when he was planning to use the last bean for himself to survive. Shallot gets a Zenkai boost as well and together they burn through Third Form Frieza. Of course, Frieza goes Final Form on them and... Vegeta gives up. He doesn't make any more proclamations, any more threats, he just admits that no hope remains and that they're screwed. They can't win.

Frieza is happy that Vegeta has accepted his place, but a little too late. See, the power up both Vegeta and Shallot went through, managing to push Frieza to his final form? Well, that just proves Saiyans are too troublesome for their own good. Frieza will have to kill them all, including the likes of Kid Gohan. As Shallot is the one still willing to fight, Frieza decides to kill Shallot first, just one last blast. Shallot is sure this is the end, prepared to rush in and face his death head on... At least until Vegeta jumps in the way and dies in Shallot's place. When asked why he did it, Vegeta tells Shallot that he saw true Saiyan Pride in this out-of-place Saiyan, something to preserve. He admits that the Saiyans have been reduced to nothing, just mindless pawns that bowed their head to Frieza without pride. But Shallot? He's from before that. He's a Saiyan before the Saiyans were corrupted by Frieza, before Saiyans lost their way, before they lost their pride. As Vegeta dies, Shallot looks back on all of Vegeta's other speeches and comments, realizing he hadn't given Vegeta enough credit. He thought Vegeta was cowardly and scared for not facing down Frieza, but he now realizes that Vegeta had been fighting for his pride this whole time no matter how much Frieza tried to stamp it out. Fighting for his life, his dignity, his race and his Saiyan pride.

Now Shallot has to fufill his promise and show Frieza that you never underestimate the Saiyan Race.

The Update

Following this dramatic transformation, Frieza is resolute that he will still kill off all the Saiyans, that Shallot is still nothing compared to- Oh, that battle ended quickly, Yep, Frieza cannot stand against Super Saiyan Shallot, being pushed so close to the edge that he resorts to whipping out the Might Fruit, consuming it and growing... Two health bars! My god! Undeterred, Shallot engages in this more difficult battle, being pushed to the limit but just managing to edge out Frieza and, unlike Goku, Shallot has very little mercy for despicable villains. However, he doesn't even need to finish Frieza off as in an ironic twist of fate, Frieza falls to the same mistake that he berated Frost for. The side effects of the Might Fruit kick in and leave the Mighty Emperor dead on the floor.

Soon after, Shallot collapses beside Frieza in exhaustion.

Turles comes to wake Shallot up and admit how surprised he is that Shallot defeated Frieza as well as his disbelief that the 'Super Saiyan' was more than a myth. Shallot is immediately fired up to finish the last member of the evil alliance, but Turles tells him to calm down, pointing out that if he had come here to fight he would have killed Shallot while the boy was knocked out. He just wants Shallot to join the alliance. Shallot is quick to point out just how many conflicts have been started by Turles making this offer after his latest friend has been killed.

"You stink, Turles. And that stink is telling me I can't trust you at all!"
"Okay, I'll sweeten the deal. Here's some Tree Drugs! And it ain't the cheap shit I sold Frost, this is the real deal, brah"

When Shallot still refuses Turles decides to show Shallot just how powerful the true Might Fruit really is, consuming it and beating down the exhausted and non-super Shallot. Yeah, SHallot doesn't do so well in this battle. Turles brags about the power he's gained and how the Fruit will soon be cultivated to perfection, which those who join him will have free access too, to which Shallot reminds him that Gero, the one doing the cultivating is de- Oh, hello Dr. Gero, when did you get here? Who could have foreseen that the mad android scientist might have kept spares around? Gero informs Shallot that even now, the man they see before them isn't the real Gero and just another android copy. He also uses this opportunity to wax on about how amazing his intellect is and how dumb he thinks Shallot is.

I feel like Gero and Dr. Doom would get along well.

To be fair, I wouldn't blame Gero considering that Shallot can't seem to grasp the concept of 'I have multiple copies of myself like 19'. Either way, Turles offers an ultimatum, Shallot can't fight off the two of them in his current state, so either join them or die. Besides, Shallot's little defiance is meaningless and has only helped Turles in the long run. They can operate more freely without Frieza bringing all that attention to them and restricting their movements. Really, the fight against Frieza was quite pointless. All the loss, the sweat, the pain, the tears, Nappa and Vegeta's death? It all amounts to nothing.

Gero and Super Saiyan Shallot both agree that those were a poor choice of words.

Suffice to say, none of them stand a chance. Turles stands alone, once more making his offer to Shallot, raising interest when mentioning that there's somone in particular who is interested in seeing Shallot grow. Turles reveals that he might know a bit about Shallot's past and the hooded man, saying that he'll be delighted to tell Shallot all about it as long as he accepts the offer. No matter how tempted Shallot may be, he still refuses. Seeing the disadvantage here, Turles attempts to flee, but Shallot's had enough of him escaping and keeps him still, asking him what the hell he even wants through all this bullshit.

Quite simply, he wants chaos. Betrayal, deception, conflict, the chaotic fighting that all Saiyans must crave. As a true Saiyan, Shallot should understand, should he not? And understand Shallot does, he understands that Turles is no Saiyan, he's diverged from the TRUE path of the Saiyans. Nappa and Vegeta didn't desire such dirty fights like this. Turles tries to rebuke him, but Shallot tells him that if Turles is a Saiyan, he would have seen how wrong this is.

Something seems to immediately catch Turles off guard, confused at his own actions as he says 'I only wanted to become strong... Conquer the Universe... Why did I...?', but before he can elaborate a familiar dark aura takes over him (It's implied that this aura is specifically tied to Saiyan characters) and he charges Shallot in a rage. Even after a tough battle, Turles is surprised to find that he still can't beat Shallot. He doesn't understand, he's a strong Saiyan, he got a power-up, he ate from the Tree of Might, he should be the strongest in the universe. Shallot reiterates that Turles has strayed from a Saiyans path, that the strength he's displayed is superficial and that Shallot refuses to lose to an idiot who doesn't even know what he wants.

The aura fades and Turles laughs, thanking Shallot for giving him a chance to have a simple fight like a normal Saiyan, to have a taste of that Super Saiyan power before fainting along with Shallot. Later, Goku and Bulma arrive to take Shallot back, encountering a still awake Turles. Turles recognizes Goku and asks if he intends to finish him off. Goku tells him that Shallot is the one who will beat Turles, not him, Goku has no drive or need to beat him up. This makes Turles laugh about how Kakorot is still a soft-hearted Saiyan. Before leaving, Turles gives them a warning: There's a Warrior who exists in neither past nor future heading for this planet as they speak and if they want any chance against him, they must prepare themselves.

Bulma complains that Goku didn't kill Turles, prompting Goku to tell her that his era's Bulma would usually say ''We'll be alright because we have you, Goku". The two take Shallot back to Beerus to eat up and rest up. When Shallot is back to 100%, he explains what happened, both him and Bulma showing disgust with how little Beerus seems to care about Nappa and Vegeta dying. Beerus merely responds that it's rich coming from Bulma, who always uses the Dragon Balls to undo any negative consequences, reminding Shallot that the option here is to either die in this time or return to where they were taken from by beating the Mastermind behind all this. Shallot waves him off, but is pumped to fight Goku again and show off the Super Saiyan form... And Jaco too, because Shallot needs sweet vengeance for the dumb pose Jaco taught him!

Shallot gets both angry and excited to learn that Goku has multiple forms since that means Goku has been holding back on him for their last fight.

Elsewhere, Turles thinks back on Shallot's words and decides what he's going to do now. Survive this bloody conflict, hunt down the bastard that was manipulating him back there and kill him. He will retain his Saiyan roots!

Giblet quickly cuts Turles down without a second thought, revealing that he has somewhat been messing with Turles's memories. Once more, he expresses his anger at the current state of the Saiyans, clinging onto their little plans that will end in pathetic failure. The blood of the tainted deserves such an unworthy end. He regards Shallot, who was at least adequate in his eyes, as the 'Blood of the Defeated', but overall Shallot's progress doesn't matter.

Part 2 of Legends's story ends with Giblet announcing that he will be the one to bring the Saiyans back onto the correct path, but first, he needs to weed out the rest of the undesirables; time for a little genocide.

It's a nice ending overall, Turles gets a bit of development before his unfortunate end and I still really enjoy the path of Shallot's character and how he's taking different things from his comrades. Also, gonna make a bet here now: I'm betting we're gonna see most of the dead characters (Vegeta, Nappa, Trunks, and Turles at least) again in hell since I'm expecting Janemba to happen at some point in the story.

So, who do we think the Ultimate Warrior is? I doubt it's our Hooded Menace or Cell as Turles makes specific mention that the warrior is on their way to the planet, whereas those two characters are already on the planet (We haven't seen Cell yet, but I doubt he's being created off planet). Plus, I wouldn't consider Cell to be someone that exists in neither past nor future.

The story is actually in a really cool spot at the moment.

I don't know how much we care about spoilers, but to sum it up:

We're currently in the Android/Cell saga playing out like normal, but with the development that the Piccolo and Gohan from after the Cell games are present and know what's going to happen. Piccolo entrusts Shallot, Zahha and Cabba (who is just sort of tagging along and cannot go Super Saiyan) to protect 17 and 18 from Cell, which fails because Dabura is also around and wants to help Cell become Perfect to use the energy from the Cell games to presumably free Buu. Bardock shows up and has a run in with the Hooded Saiyan, who later fights Shallot and is revealed to be his *gasp* long lost evil twin Giblet.

Cell becomes Perfect, Gohan arrives to save Shallot and co, Cell proposes a new Super Cell games, this time as a battle royale in teams of three. Cooler, Bojack and Ribrianne show up to compete (I believe Cooler and Bojack are with Cell while Ribrianne and her maidens are a team of three, don't know if there are any other teams). Shallot, Zahha, Cabba, Gohan, Bardock and 16 form two teams of three to compete. Everyone's expecting Gohan to carry them since Shallot can't yet go SS2 and nobody else is strong enough, so it looks like they're setting up a role-reversal where Gohan fights first, loses and tags in Shallot, who'll unlock SS2 in the moment of need.

A lot of cool stuff. My favourite part is getting to see three generations of Goku's family meet up during the training session, with Bardock, modern Goku and post-Cell Games Gohan all in the same room. Unfortunately Bardock just broods on the sidelines, but the meeting between Gohan and his dad is really touching.

Ribrianne's appearance was a highlight as well. She just shows up in the middle of an altercation with Bojack, who gets weirded out and leaves. It's a very Ace Attorney bit.

Sorry, long post but I'm liking the story a lot at the moment. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on, some fun takes on the source material.

To summarize during the Cell arc a Super Cell with new DNA source is being helped by Dabra to create a Super Cell Game, Then Cell divide himself with a technique from Tenshinhan and battle different group, brawl happen between Cell and Shallot group until Cell trigger the push button of Shallot that turns him into SSJ2 and also Kyabe one who happen to turn into SSJ1, a fierce battle then succeed until Cell is finally defeated

Next arc part 5 show Shallot looking for clue toward the Dark Ki and end up meet Caulifla exhausted to search for Kale, the two agreed to help each other and are then later forced to learn the power of Love of Ribrianna and her teams lol until Dabra and Babidi Show up with Majin Buu. A fight happen where Shallot is almost killed but saved by Goku unoticed

Part 6 is starting right away after this save with Shallot recovering and soon he go with Goku in the Room of Spirit and Time where he start to train to reach SSJ3, meawhile a Youth Mirai Trunks teams up with Kyabe for replacing for the time being Shallot on the job to clean the area from Dark Ki User.

In that case we can still see the fat Boo reappear, and be divided into two. Or it could even appear a different Evil Boo from another era. In this game everything goes, haha. But if we have seen Freeza and Cell appear in all their forms, I doubt that Boo doesn't, too.

And for me it is increasingly clear who or what, rather, is the mastermind. Who controls time and space for bad purposes? Who uses dark energy/ki to corrupt/control other beings? Who creates great fighting events bringing warriors from different eras? The demons, of course, like Towa, Fu, Mechickaboola, etc.

But it would be too obvious and repetitive. The demons again as antagonists of a Dragon Ball game? I hope I'm wrong and that it's something more original and surprising. Although the subject of demons I like and interest me a lot ^^

What's interesting is that we have already a connection with Kanba/Cumber (That I hope soon as an SP unit) Would love to have him coming to the game and be from the era as Shallot and Giblet.

Speaking about the stuff in my parenthesis we will have a "transforming" Piccolo and Goku from their battle with raditz, so this Goku will be barefoot and have a "controled" Kamehameha as a special.
