How would Buu have performed in Champa's tournament?

Say he didn't fall asleep and got to go first. How far would he have gotten before someone ringed him out?
I think if he would have definitely called Magetta some names lol

Re: How would Buu have performed in Champa's tournament?
His first opponent would have been Botamo, right? Really interesting match up there as neither character can sufficiently bring down the other one due to physiology and endurance. It's like two nigh unmovable objects colliding with each other somehow. Maybe Buu could take advantage of his elongation abilities to ring Botamo out.
I think Buu is going to stop at Frost. While he can almost assuredly handle the Freeza lookalike in his suppression forms, final would be too much. Buu either eliminates him quickly or he winds up getting pummelled severely then thrown out of the ring. Knowing how Buu acts, though, it's likely that his streak ends here.
Things should hopefully pan out normally then. Goku versus Frost is predictable, as are following reactions and match-ups. The only big difference here is that Buu takes down Botamo and forces Frost to transform before anyone else has an opportunity to fight.

If he doesn’t kill Botamo on mistake, and if he does actually beat Botamo, Frost’s poison shouldn’t work on him. This doesn’t mean he would necessarily beat Frost though, as he could be ringed out.
Assuming he also manages to beat Frost, I don’t know what he could do for Magetta. Buu wasn’t the type to insult his opponents if not insulted first, so he would probably be ringed out by Magetta.
He would have stomped Cabba, though, if he had the opportunity.

At WORST, he would have Magic'd everybody until Hit.
Most likelier, he would have bodied everybody until hit. None of them were anything remotely strong enough to give him trouble.
As for Hit... he should have been powerful enough to waste off Buu

Boo would probably beat everyone except Hit. Magetta would be the most difficult one. Perhaps they would end up in a tie. Then, Hit would beat Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku, and forfeit.

I thought Magetta was only dangerous because he raised the temperature and made it hard to breathe. I don't see this as an issue for Buu.
Re: How would Buu have performed in Champa's tournament?
Magetta could tank a full-powered final flash from Super Saiyan Vegeta though. That’s arguably an indication that it would require more than that to take him out. Boo is more or less on that range.

Doesn't mean much if Buu turns him into a harmless candy bar.

If all of Boo's abilities were allowed then he could have won the tournament himself. Boo would simply; turn everyone into candy, absorb them, imprison them in his gummy exterior, create doubles to trick & push his opponents into a ringout, etc. Boo has too many advantages and I think the writers are all too aware of this and so, Boo conveniently is eliminated from competing due to his broken range of capabilities.
