Yeah, it would have been more mature of them to just leave rather than become troll. Not saying I agree with what they did, just that I understand why they did it. One of my earliest interactions on this forum was someone chewing me out because I dared say "Super Saiyan Blue" instead of "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan." At the time, I just shrugged it off. Every forum has that one guy. But the thing is, I'm not sure it is just that one guy any more. Even some of my interactions with mods has left me like, "Uh, what? That's not what I said. I would never say that. What are you doing?"

Just look at this thread. Yeah, I know it was bait from a troll, but people took it seriously. Simple disagreements over musical tastes have led to insults and broad strokes mischaracterizing entire groups of people as being stupid, tasteless, and/or blinded by nostalgia.

No, your entire argument was “Dragon Ball Z was a huge tone shift from Dragon Ball” Dr.Casey’s argument was comparing the beginning of Dragon Ball to the beginning of Z is as different as night and day but the shift in Dragon Ball to Z was more gradual not the complete 180 you’re saying it was.

Because, yeah, I agree with Casey that the story was shifting into something more serious but it was starting well before Z was added to the title.

Yeah, I saw his profile on a thread on NeoGAF or one of the similar sites and he was banned from there as well. You're also right, him admitting to being a troll confirms it even more, plus he did have a choice, to just let it go rather than trying to troll anywhere which is a huge waste of time IMO and says more about him than it does about this place or any other internet community.
Of course, I only came to this thread to turn it away from actually discussing the replacement OST since I disagree with the concept in general.

Or DB episode 155. DBZ is not a stand alone story. It hits the ground running because it isn't the very beginning. It's not burdened by explaining the world, the characters and relationships. The exposition is mostly to catch us up on what's happened in the five year gap.

DBZ is not science fiction. It's Matrial Science Fantasy than actual Sci-Fi. The same reason why Star Wars is considered to be Science Fantasy and not Sci-Fi.

Agreed, to me Star Wars is still sci-fi even it's a different kind of sci-fi from Star Trek.
