She didn't. She just had to hope that Bra would stand in the same general place long enough. Not like she had other options.

Yeah I mean if she did power down she'd probably have fought her while the carbonite slowly ate her, and it'd make the carbonite more likely to land.

But the armoured warrior probably knew it was a sacrifice play.

I wonder how much of a leg and ki reserves she loses before she invariably amputates and fights on.

Does it turn the tide of the fight or does it just show another hopeless attempt before the torture porn resumes?

Also Buu implied he was about to kill Babidi saying he was gonna die but not by asphyxiation so shouldn't he have done that by now.

We knew it was gonna be a sacrifice move from the start. The people surprised Phipsil went out instantly seemed to have a weird expectation of her goal.

As for Babidi...he's one of the only people that Zen Buu didn't absorb.

Since he seems to only do things that amuse him, I could see him keeping Babidi alive just to see what happens.

The thing about Salagir's writing is that it's actually not as unpredictable as it seems. The character foreshadowing is there for many things. Bra being the Big Bad was always hinted at (same with Vegetto, eventually) if you look at things from the start, much like Kakarotto's immortality. The Bardock visions are still gonna come true, just not quite in the way they seem.

But aren't all the organisers dead and stuff? They didn't seem to be storing them in physical space because no one could find them, I think even Buu said they weren't around to Freeza.

Didn't XXI make defence to having dragonballs as well? A lot of mysteries left to solve that are far more interesting than Bra....
