So... I'll admit, I love the Funimation dub. I was pretty much raised on it, and, while I like the Japanese voices a lot, I'd rather pay attention to the action instead of reading subtitles.

But I digress. Thats not what we're here for, is it?

I don't have a full cast, like some of you guys have, but I do have a couple changes.

Vegeta: Zachary Quinto.
-"Now, wait just a sec!", right? Really, Zach would be a great Vegeta. Not only would his voice be more in line with Veggie's Japanese voice, and we'd never have to listen to Chris Sabat's "Vegeta needs a f*cking lozenge" voice again, BUT, Zach can pull of the sly, evil dude voice pretty well. Just watch Heroes, and see how good he is as Sylar, a character somewhat similar to Vegeta.

Adult Videl: Kara Edwards.
-Someone tell me why Funi replaced Kara with someone else for the end of Z and all through GT. Please. Kara is awesome as Vi, and just a little bit of a pitch change is a small task for her. There was no need to replace her, at all.

Goku: Ryan Drummond
-Thats right. Sonic the Hedgehog as Goku. As if there weren't already enough comparisons between the two franchises, right? I think Ryan could bring a bit more of a "yahoo, lets do this" kinda attitude to Goku than his other actors could, though. That, and he can bring a lot of intensity to Super Saiyan Goku. Just listen to him as Super Sonic, and you'll see why.

i dn't think Sonic's voice would fit Goku. It's too child-like for Goku. Perhaps if it was deeper, then yes. Can you just imagine Goku saying "Let's Go!" like how Sonic would do when you used him in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Wait, Brad Swaile - like the one from the Trunks special?
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Heh, thanks. I do like him (not that I have anything against Kyle). Loathe the script though. How do they make a conversation about the DBs being inoperable sound like a conversation about erectile dysfunction? I thought their goal with their script was to make crap MORE family friendly.

No, Dameon Clarke played Gohan, well along with Stephanie Nadolny. I don't think Kyle was with them yet. They must have liked his performance (or have a contractual obligation with Dameon) cuz I read that Kyle redubbed Dale Kelly as the narrator in the remastered release, but not Gohan. I tried to find a clip, cuz I don't remember how he sounded, but I found one with the intro theme from the dub version and have no further interest in pursuing the search. Did Menza compose that or what?

Tony Jay as Cold Daio. That would be supremely awesome.

For some reason, I think Mark Acheson's Unicron voice from Armada would work well for Doctor Uiro.

Ur... isn't Goku child-like? :?

I'm curious as to how things would have played out if Kuririn had Rob Paulson's Raphael voice. :D

Yeah, I know he is - that's why I emphasized too.

Ah... umm... didn't see that part. (I wonder if I can get this thing to tell me of format changes...)...

I'm trying to imagine Tony Jay as Freeza... I can't decide how 't'would compare to Cold... Hmm...

Keith David as Piccolo would rock as much or even more than Scott McNeil.

Sean Schemmel's Goku is awesome. And the fact he plays Gonard on Kappa Mikey is great to because I can get more into the show because it reminds me of DBZ.

Tony Jay was awesome in everything. Though it was a videogame, I thought his Magneto in X-Men Legends 1 was the best Magneto voice I've ever heard.

Mr. Schemmel just lets loose on Kappa Mikey, and I really like that. He's either gotten better direction, or more freedom to voice the character how he wants or he's just really enjoying his new job; because it shows.
(And the musical episode makes me wish Goku had gotten to sing at some point in dbz. )

Shame its only got three episodes left.

Agreed. Funimation's lack of knowing Son Goku's character & dialect was really a letdown for me. The whole generic superhero vibe from the dub didn't really help either.

I know someone mentioned Christopher Lee as Piccolo Daimao/Kami. I nominate Ian McKellen as Kaio-sama/Narrator. I always thought he was the English version of Jouji Yamani, so his voice definitely fits as Godly/Wise omniscent being. Aside from Schemmel, I thought Johnny Yong Bosch would make a great Goku. His early role as Vash in Trigun serves as evidence. He's definitely got the charisma.

Dunno, what character he's be best as, but gotta have some Patrick Stewart in there! Maybe North Kai.

For some strange reason, I think he'd make a good Kibito.

I forgot about Vash (now I miss Trigun. TT_TT ), but yeah I could see him as Goku. He voices Ichigo in Bleach's dub, doesn't he?
I don't know how well he can scream though, I've never heard him do a powerup yell.

I actually pictured him as Goku or Yamcha in the live-action movie. The man does know martial arts.

Oh man, its like I'm staring right at Yamcha. XD
You're right, he could probably pull off Goku too.

Was this guy one of the original Power Rangers? Like from the first show? I heard he was associated with it.
