Could the natural disaster that threatened Namek be related to Shadow Dragons?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Could the natural disaster that threatened Namek be related to Shadow Dragons?

The Shadow Dragons of Gt messed with the environment and brought great ruin to the Earth. In fact the Shadow Dragons assault on the Earth bares many similarities with the disaster of Namek. Could maybe ancient Namekain Dragonballs were over exerted leading to Shadow Dragons? If you think no because then why aren't they still there or more how were they stopped I have two answers. One, maybe Shadow Dragons powers depend on the users or something, perhaps they are based on the warriors of their planet explaining why the last Namekain warriors could maybe best them. Or my preferred explanation, they just killed the creator of their Dragonballs which lead to them dying as well. Maybe not them but someone did, perhaps he took his own life to be a hero and sacrifice himself.

Could this be the case?

The Namekian Dragon Balls spawning their own Evil Dragons would actually be a cool idea for a storyline, especially if Toriyama wanted to pair it with an explanation for the Namekian Cataclysm. Be a hell of a plot idea for a Piccolo-centric arc, too.

That's obviously not the case as GT wasn't planned yet, but it would be cool idea to explain what happened to Namek. I mean they didn't have any problem with saying Beerus was the one who sealed Old Kai, so why not? If i'm not mistaken, one of missions in SDBH World Mission has namekian shadow dragons. They obviously look like the Earth ones as they would have to come with 7 completely new characters otherwise.

I'm not a fan of using GT or even Super to explain events in DB. GT uses filler for its stories and Super contradicts Z whenever it feels like it. I honestly thought they would do that in the arc though, saying the shadow dragons caused namek's climate change.

DBS also used fillers. In fact, it seems to ignore some fillers while accepting others. Probably because Toriyama writes everything with his manga in mind while TOEI or Toyotaro try to make it more anime sequel, so we got few filler characters as well as filler Yadratian design (with stupid explanation of having two different forms in manga) and even having a Tuffle in tournament of power.
