Most (but not all) karaoke versions of anime songs usually have the background vocals intact; sometimes there are versions that have ALL the vocals removed, making it a pure instrumental version. For example, I know "We Are" and "Hikari E" have karaoke versions that only lack the lead vocal, while "Brand New World" is a pure instrumental version. ("Hare Hare Yukai" has both a karaoke and a pure instrumental version available.)

I actually would much rather have some backup with my singing if I wanted to karaoke the theme songs for Dragon Ball Z. If you sing well, the way that your voice blends in with the background vocals can really make the song. It's nice to not sing along with the lead vocal -- or the synthesizer doubling for the lead vocal -- when doing a performance.

I'm not sure if I should shell out the $200+ for this CD collection just to get the actual karaoke versions of the DBZ themes, but it looks very nice and presentable. I wouldn't mind another copy of songs that I already have.....

Alright, I'm very on the fence about this.

Will this release be available for a long time, or is it going to be phased out quickly? Because my big $200 DBZ purchase of the year was going to be the entirety of pre-Z Dragonball on DVD.

Yea I would like to know this also as my money is going towards getting all the releases of the Season Boxsets and I don't want to miss this collection.

It says nothing about being limited so I think It will be around for a while.....at least I hope so.

My first post since the Reagan Administration, but I'd REALLY like that Cha-La Karaoke track. By the end of today if possible, but that's just me being impatient and I'd rather not use the shoddy foreign karaoke tracks.

That said, why HAVEN'T the plain karaoke tracks come out prior to this (awesome) release? Was there just no feasible outlet for them?

I'm sorry if I missed something, but on the homepage...why is the Chozenshuu part struck out? Is it a joke about it NOT being a super collection?

It's not actually called that, apparently. The box calls it DragonBall Z Complete Song Collection Box ~ 最強音盤伝説 ~ (DragonBall Z Complete Song Collection Box ~ Saikyô Onban Densetsu ~).

It's probably something along the lines of how the BGM boxset that came out a while back was first called the "Complete BGM Collection" on all the retail sites, but then when it came out, it was simply called DragonBall Z BGM Collection.

Ah, so then it was more of a title that CDjapan had given it? Like it wasn't it's real name but kind of along the lines of " Purchas your Super Amazing Magic the Gathering theme deck!" when the thing is just called a theme deck, without the preceeding adjectives?

So this set is missing "Battle Point Unlimited".

What other songs is missing from this box set?

Do you think there will be another "Complete Box Set" so that they get the missing songs in the set and actually complete the box set?
