I'm aware that he's done Chronno Trigger by now ^_~ At the time it was a strange cooincidence (like the first time I heard Pic speak I thought immediately of Dinobot), but now it's just plain cool.

It's so weird to think there're people who were in 3rd grade in 2000 here in the fandom- I know it's possible of course, and it's awesome, but it's still strange to think about oO I'm so used to talking to people more my age about the fandom.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Yeah, it's strange, but don't you feel old?:D It's weird, because almost as soon as I got into DBZ, my friend let me have his unofficial Pojo guide magazine. It was thanks to that how I discovered the everything you could possibly know about Dragon Ball.

I don't really feel old. You all just look young ^^

This series means more to me than I can begin to express, so it's wonderful to find new blood coming into the fandom. Horray for new people!

Well, what are you, early 20-something? I'm not sure what the average age around here is, but I'd say 14-18, maybe?

I dunno.

I'm 18. I feel odd. I don't know where I belong! D=

I've been watching the show for about a decade now, ever since about 1st grade, so I wouldn't consider myself "new blood" and I have a pretty vast knowledge on the anime.

22, and everybody else in the fandom that I've known outside one girl and my little brother has been right around my age or older, thus my strange assumptions. My apologies if it seemed like I was insulting anybody as that was absolutely not my intention.

No offense taken, I was just trying to point out that there were hardcore fans other than the people who were old enough to see the show from its first attempts in the US.

The Goku versus Vegeta fight. At the time it seemed so epic... and it still does, really. My favorite episodes from the series to this day.

25 years old myself. Started watching with the Pilaf dub. What was that, '95? 13 years, so I was 12 when I got into it. Damn, I do feel old.

To show my appreciation, I'll only beat them half to death.

First I liked DBZ. Then Vegeta turned USSJ and it became my favourite series!

It was great to see Vegeta finally stronger than Goku!

cartoon network

Post by saiyanprincess » Wed Apr 23, 2008 9:44 am

The first time I ever saw Dragonball Z was when it was shown on Cartoon Network... those were the days. I watched the one episode; if I recall, it was (in?) the Saiyan saga when Goku was fighting Radditz and sacrificed himself.

After that I was addicted, and each day, if I couldn't make it, I set the video recorder (yes it was video tape back then wow do I feel old) my mum and dad used to go nuts with all my black tapes labeled DBZ.

Now I am the proud owner of the boxsets. Everytime I watch it, it gets better!
