Dragon ball dragon box (UK)

Post by whitetop » Thu Jul 30, 2020 9:58 am

Hi all hope everyone is safe.

Can i ask as i have just acquired the Dragon ball dragon box (UK) but they don't come in a box case like the red one i've seen, i got 6 with plastic protection sleeves on them. Can i ask if the UK version comes with the red box or did they not come with them and only japan has the red box, I also only have 6 boxes 1-153 episode but the other one has 7 boxes with 1-153!

I just want to know really as i can't find anything on UK releases just U.S/JP ones (no booklet came with them as well)

Thank you for the reply

this is box one, i'm thinking its not UK release due to the writing by the region part on the back.

Well it does have Chinese first and then English subtitles, and there was never an English release of the DB DBox

Nope, only the Z series, without the movies

If you want an authentic OG-DB Dragon Box, you'll want to order through Japan. This is a lot easier than it used to be because Amazon Japan and third-party mail-on services like Tenso exist to help get it out of Japan, which is what I used back in 2016 to buy my one. It was pretty expensive, and it's DVD regioned for Japan so I can't play it on most of my devices, and it has no subtitles, but I'm really proud to own it.

I don't use amazon. i was looking on ebay and it seems many are selling their boxes but still its one of them trust things like it was on this deal.

My bluray player is region free and play fine when watching my IP man films or jackie chan films from japan.

Ah. Personally Amazon.co.jp is a good place to go in my experience, but I won't try to sway you. Basically as established, only Dragon Box Z got a release outside of Japan (and a very limited one at that), so any Dragon Box for the original show, GT or the movies will be Japan only.

Does the DB Dbox cost and arm and a leg like the Z Dbox?
First time Dragon Ball fan as of March 2020. Still learning the ropes. Nothing much else to say,

Kinda-sorta. You can also order the singles DVDs released the year after, however this will take up much more shelf space and is just the DVDs with no-flourish menus and none of the extras like the Dragon Book.

Oi. I'm sorry that you bought a product that didn't turn out to be what you expected. They really should allow people to comment on the items being sold so that maybe those that know could point out the bootleg products when the seller fails to mention it.
