Two New Videos! Whoa!

Post by VegettoEX » Mon Jun 21, 2004 12:09 am

Hopefully everyone's already members of AnimeMusicVideos.org by now, 'cuz I've got two new downloads for everyone! Both available as LOCAL downloads.

AnimeNext 2004 AMV Panel Video
(MPEG-1, 28.4 MB, 1:54)

This video was created specifically for the AMV panel at AnimeNext, this year. It was to go with a section called "Fine Tuning and Easy Things to Avoid." People seemed to get a few kicks outta it! Read the video entry for more information.

Kyôfu no Jinzôningen
(MPEG-1, 21.1 MB, 1:50)

Trailer created on a whim in a single day. Wasn't made for anything in particular, but since I had some extra space for another commercial/trailer on the AnimeNext 2004 contest compilation (which are non-competing), I threw it on there. Read the video entry for more information.

The first video is probably mostly for other music video makers/ judges to get most of the jokes. I remember at the part where Kami rolls out of bed and the quality goes down, the caption "This is crap" comes up...and only just a few years ago, that would've been considered good quality for DBZ.

he second video, brilliant use of GT footage in there. I like how you lined up the tsunami with the "A wall of water is headed for New York" audio...although I don't know how you could blame THAT on the Artificial Humans.

Just watched the both. That AnimeNext panel one was hilarious EX! I was chuckling all the way through it and it was so true!

Your Androids one was a neat premise, making it like a movie preview and taking the track to "The Day After Tomorrow". Hearing that deep voice coming out of Trunks took me aback a bit though.
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

First video was pretty damn funny. Kinda reminded me of that video from a bit back, forget the title. Less funny in some ways, better in others. Quicker to the point with less inside jokes, I think.

Second video, well, I'm really surprised that DBZ had such great disaster footage to match with that trailer. It's stuff most people just forget about, I guess. What was Trunks saying at the end? I didn't understand it.

That's because the disaster footage wasn't from DBZ, it was from DBGT, but most people wouldn't recognize it since they avoid GT like an STD.

Now that I think about it; that one and only DBZ clip you used (of the buildings falling over during the Saiyan arc) didn't really match the rest of the video...the sky wasn't dark, and the art was dramatically different.

The Day After Tommorow trailer was great. So fitting.

Ah, sorry Deus. I missed your post about the second AMV because I was already writing about the first while it was downloading. Now that you mention it, it does list DBGT for footage. I guess I missed that.

Thanks, VegEX.

This topic swayed a little off (in a GREAT way, by the way... nothing wrong with it!) into a conversation completely about the inclusion/disclusion of logos in AMVs. I split the selected posts into an entirely new thread:

http://db.schuby.org/daizex/viewtopic.php?t=652

Feel free to contribute over there about logos, and general conversation about the two new videos in this thread!
