Vegetto or Gogeta?

Over confidence doesn't have anyything to do with strength, it would actually put him at a disadvantage because he would underestimate his foe.

Like it matters. He's Vegetto, nobody can even ruffle his gi.

But he could have done something like, 'Hey i'll give you a free shot' then have been hit by a 1 hit kill attack or something to that nature.

In this sense Piccolo could kill Vegetto, he would be so cocky and arrogant he would allow a Makankosappo to hit him.

No Piccolo couldn't. The Special Beam Cannon killed Raditz because it was stronger than him, not because of any inherent property of the beam. Vegetto's chest would stop the SBC easier than SSJ Goku's chin stopped Freeza's Death Beam.

The Potara's effect is a gift and a curse. Yeah, it lasts longer than the fusion dance but it also lasts forever. And wasn't there a warning not to fuse as Super Saiyans because it would be a drain on their life force or something.

Dude, that is so true! His gi is pretty cool too, it's like Goku's but reversed.

The fusion that vegito did lasts forever and gogeta doesn´t so that´s why i think vegito wins in this battle.

I know, but it's impossible for me to answer a question like this without factoring the time limit. For what you're looking for, I did state that I think they are evenly matched, so if you remove the time constraint it would be too close to call. They'd be like equally powerful twin brothers. The only way one could call one over the other is by looking at the mechanics of their respective fusions. We mostly have to look at Gotenks for the dance. At SSJ3 he burned too much ki and defused. In movie 13 he took a vicious blow that defused him prematurely (he was only fused for a few minutes).

So on those grounds, with all else being equal, Vegetto could probably just go lvl 3 to lure Gogeta into doing the same... thus burning his ki faster and risking defusion. The same happens to him in GT if you recall, with SSJ4 running out the clock faster.

And obviosuly SSJ4 isn't a factor. If GT Gogeta fought Buu Saga Vegetto, then he would have the power advantage he would need. If Vegetto were to be formed in GT somehow, the same issues would apply as comparing them at Z levels.

I think it has definatly got to be the fusion form of Goku and Vegeta, plainly because they both have much more battle experiance than Trunks and Goten.

I mean in a real fight, if it was Trunks and Goten VS their fathers who would win?

Vegetto was overly cocky, in that respect he took after the great Saiyan Prince

However Gotenks did his fair share of showboating hence the reason they were trapped in the Hypobolic Time Chamber.

This isn't the "vs Gotenks" thread. That one actually got locked. This is a comparison between the two Goku/Vegeta fusions. I only brought up Gotenks in order to examine the mechanics of the fusion dance.

Ditto, theres no evidence at all that either is stronger, just that Vegetto lasts forever and so would win the fight based on that alone. If Gogeta was permanent also then it would be dead even.

He wouldn't even see it coming - Gogeta would just move his arm and a light would flash. Vegetto would go "What The Fuck?!" and then boom, his guts are flying everywhere.
