Agreed. Also I enjoyed Sandland very much. I wish Toriyama would make more awesome one-shots like those.

Well, Viz has already licensed and given us a chapter of Neko Majin in Shonen Jump, so it's really only a matter of time until we have releases of that.

The release date on Amazon.co.uk is 27th May. It's been like that for several weeks.

yeah, you're right. Archonia.com (Site from Belgium) is gonna release it on the 27th. I think these companies already have them in stock, but have to wait a till the actualy release date. But as always some companies such give them away earlier.

Well, Dragon Ball Volume 2's coverart has been released. It's pretty good, too.

Sad to say, but I think Goku is going to be on the cover of all 14 of these babies. Also, judging from the four covers revealed so far, it's looking like all of the DB volumes are going to be yellow, while every DBZ volume will be red. That's pretty disappointing, especially considering the Kenshin VIZBIG's have different background colors for each volume.

Well Too bad I won't be buying them. I don't have enough money. Maybe if I find a cheap site. Covers look good and I actually like the yellow and red.

Hey ya'll, I was reading DB VizBig Vol. 1 and I noticed something that struck me as odd. In Chapter 25, Pg. 378, Kuririn says: "My only wish is to train under you, August Muten Roshi!", this confuses me. Am I reading this wrong or something? I've been a Dragonball fan for quite a while(6+ years)and I've never known that Kame'sennin's first name is August. Once again, I am maybe reading this wrong or maybe Viz messed up. Please let me know If my eyes are playing tricks on me.

The coverart's okay, but I really don't want all of DBZ to be red, all of DB to be yellow, and for Goku to be on every single frikkin' volume. It makes all the VizBigs look basically the same.

Sure, Kenshin's on the cover of all the RK VizBigs, but they at least change the background colors and give Kenshin a different outfit with each volume to make them unique.

I just got the second volume of DBZ and some of the pages are stuck together at the bottom. Same thing happened before with one of my Rurouni Kenshin books.

Stuck together how? Like, is it fixable or can you not separate them without breaking the book?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how did the color chapters work out? Are they all there, or have some still been printed in black & white like volume one's "Goku vs. Vegeta" chapter?

I don't think we have to worry about edits with this volume, since I don't think there ever were any edits to DBZ volumes 4-6 in the first place, but color chapter confirmation would be great.

in this case, the word "august" is being used as its adjective form. Merriam-Webster defines it as, "marked by majestic dignity or grandeur."

Thanks Mike! I thought that sounded familiar. I've heard it used in other Asian-language translations in the past.

Just got my VIZ BIG DBZ vol. 2 as well. Thank you Amazon for giving it to me in my quaint Minnesota town before it is released ^_^

Anyways, regarding the color chapters, again, some are and some aren't.

The first chapter is in color (Vegeta fight), then, DBZ chapter 43 "Once More...The Sphere!" is. (Whoa, in the table of contents, it lists chapters, as per usual numerical fashion, but in the actual chapters, 43 is the chapter number listed for 44 "The Hopes of a Planet". Was this present in the original volume release?)

Chapter 53, "Planet Namek, Cold and Dark" looks as it was supposed to be in color, but is rendered in grayscale in this release.

Chapter 61, "Son Gohan Snaps!" looks as it was also originally color, but the color is not present here.

Chapter 62, "Death in Flight!" has what appears to be original color artwork, but is not here.

That about covers it, I believe.

Side-note, my VIZ BIG DBZ Vol. 1 I believe had some pages that were not properly cut, and were just a couple of pages with outer corners that needed to be torn to separate. It was quite a sad thing to have to ruin my fresh, new Dragonball manga, but c'est la vie.

So the rest of the Vegeta fight is in color where it's supposed to be, but none of Namek is? Lame, Viz.

At least this time, the most important chapters (the Genki-dama launch, more Vegeta-Goku fight) seem to have gotten color treatment, so that's a positive, I guess. But still, the Dodoria chase is a pretty significant event, so it's a shame that it's left in greyscale.

Hmm. Yeah, only 2 out of the intended/original 5 color portions being kept in color isn't nearly enough for me. Nice try, VizBig, but no more for me. Next!
