Why would Goku have to learn? What has he lost that he can't get back? He might be reckless but it gets him what he wants. If people learn from their mistakes, they learn because it bites them in the ass and that doesn't truly happen to Goku.coola wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2020 3:15 pm Change for worse can also be included? If yes, then i would add Goku and Vegeta:
- They never learn from their mistakes and arrogance
- Once again, in Super, they play off Goku stupidity and Vegeta whining about pride way too much.
- Their overpower goes against early DB philosophy "If you train, you can overcome every obstacle" nowadays, you should add "..but only if you were born a Saiyan"

They do because for some reason nowadays, folks tend to think that if a character isn't crying in a flash back then they're unrelatable and thus aren't that "good":.

Re: A Change of Heart
I would say the look of Super Saiyan God, but that could partly be due to the change in art style in the later parts of DBSuper.
Super Saiyan God looks a bit underwhelming in Battle of Gods, and the Beerus saga, but it looks great in the Tournament of Power and DBS Broly. Goes to show that a change in art style can really make or break a design.
I will say though that one small criticism I have with SSG is the hair is a crimson red (meaning it inclines more towards purple than it does orange), but the aura is a fire-like orange-red. The hair should match that and be more of a orange-red color (like scarlet red). Crimson red hair with a flame-like aura is slightly off-putting.

I didn't care much for Tien growing up but now I think he's very underrated

I guess I'll say Chi Chi, at least in Z. She does have her moments, like throwing Gohan's tutor out the window, or punching out that obnoxious lady at the 25th Tournament. She does genuinely care for her family and puts up with a lot of neglect. She became a caricature in Super like many other characters, but she was fine in Z, and even funny at times.

It's such a shame they regressed her. Her loosening up after Goku's death felt poignant.90sDBZ wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 2:31 pm I guess I'll say Chi Chi, at least in Z. True, moments such as these in Z even though they played up Chi-Chi's education obsessiveness and nagging a lot compared to prior which are undoubtedly annoying really make me enjoy her at times when these come up in the series. The aforementioned one on the filler episode where she throws the asshole tutor man out of the house after he goes too far and badmouths Goku not being there presently (and in front of Gohan no less) in a "how dare you come into our home and talk crap about my husband" fashion and after Goku recovers from the heart virus and they share a moment are some i really like.90sDBZ wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 2:31 pm I guess I'll say Chi Chi, at least in Z.
