I like how involved Bulma was in the plot in Super, it saved the fighters from having to do the tedious legwork - not that I'd be opposed to that, but stick to your strengths, yeah?DestructoDisc wrote: Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:12 am Design wise, I prefer End of Namek saga Bulma, she was hooot with the long hair, and i'm more into dudes, but even I can admit that she was hot
Character wise, I prefer her in Super the most. I especially liked her in the Zamasu arc where she contributed a lot to the plot.
And this is unequivocally her best hairstyle.

I just thought it looked cool to see Bulma that sinister. Badass!SuperSaiyaManZ94 wrote: Sat Nov 21, 2020 1:49 am Holy crap the third image of GT Bulma on the bottom left is so scary. That sinister grinning face of hers there is 31 flavors of nightmare fuel.
As for which era of her i prefer design wise and such, i'd say it's a toss up between Namek/Freeza and Androids/Cell arc.

Those are two different hairstyles, just for the record.

I guess, considering that's the only time she's ever actually (albeit temporarily through Baby's influence) gone bad.TonyDragonBallFan wrote: Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:54 pmI just thought it looked cool to see Bulma that sinister. DB collection related goals as of now:
1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)
2.) Collect rest of manga
3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

For me it'll always be the opening pink dress, perfectly encapsulating her youthful beginnings.
Personally I actually liked the afro look. It's certainly better than that unexplained wild Yunzabit hairstyle! But I think Toriyama knew they were a bit radical, hence why they were only there for a couple of Chapters. All of the more regular, long-term hairstyles are more conservative.
I never liked her more elderly, 40s+ looks.

So's Frieza and that's a pretty widespread way to spell it.TonyDragonBallFan wrote: Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:51 pm You mean Tsufruian? The term “Tuffle” was made up by Funimation.

Re: Which Bulma do you prefer?
Character-wise, my favorite Bulma moments are from the Red Ribbon Army arc. For a decent chunk of it she gets to come along for the adventure and is paired with Goku and Krillin which makes for some real nice chemistry between them. The pirate cave episodes in particular are always fun to watch.
As for a specific design. My favorites are her outfit from the 23rd Budoukai, and her design in the Buu arc.

First time Dragon Ball fan as of March 2020. Still learning the ropes. Nothing much else to say,

Z for me, with her Bojack outfit being my fave.

First ending had some great shots of her, like she piloting a plane, or sitting on bed.

Guys keep saying the Bojack look, but as I haven't watched that movie in over a decade, I don't remember it. In terms of "hotness", her first English voice actress in the Sabrina pilot movie, particularly during the pool party scenes. Heh heh heh. Seriously, never looked at Bulma for being attractive and more just a cool character. I'd say more of her adventuring self during DB and the Frieza saga manga when she's not having the bad time or lame filler bits on Namek.
Re: Which Bulma do you prefer?
For some reason Bulma gives me the impression that this is what Toriyama thought a western American woman looked and acted like.

So to refresh your memory, this what it looked like & why we think it’s “hot.”Super Sonic wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 8:09 pm Guys keep saying the Bojack look, but as I haven't watched that movie in over a decade, I don't remember it. She was obsessed with guns and even had a rifle hanging in her bedroom so I think Toriyama was pretty spot on.precita wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 9:38 pm For some reason Bulma gives me the impression that this is what Toriyama thought a western American woman looked and acted like.

Re: Which Bulma do you prefer?
Even when Bulma was 16 at the time, Toriyama didn’t mind giving her weapons at a young age & a bunny suit. Granted it was the ‘80s so even in 2020, stuff like that wouldn’t be allowed.MasenkoHA wrote: Mon Nov 23, 2020 11:50 amShe was obsessed with guns and even had a rifle hanging in her bedroom so I think Toriyama was pretty spot on.precita wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 9:38 pm For some reason Bulma gives me the impression that this is what Toriyama thought a western American woman looked and acted like.

The overt sexualization of a minor? Sure that probably wouldn’t pass in 2020 as apparently Japan has got a lot stricter with stuff like that. Her being gun happy would still fly as Japan doesn’t share America’s gun problem.
