The DB panels are now, and as I said above, fans should just forget about getting anything animated outside of Heroes.

Are you sure ? I can't find anything about it anywhere.Psykomatik wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 1:27 am They said three hours ago that the anime will comeback though they didn't say when
Speaking of, I was mistaking, there's another DB stream in 5 minutes which will discuss the manga.

I think this is where we'll get the trailer for Baby Vegeta in FighterZ.

Yep, I saw it live on twitch so I hope there'll be a replay so I can show you the part where they confirm the anime will comeback at some point.Matches Malone wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 1:55 amAre you sure ? Did they say they were actually working on it with more news to come, or was it a generic "DB is super popular so eventually you'll get something in the future" ?Psykomatik wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:32 amYep, I saw it live on twitch so I hope there'll be a replay so I can show you the part where they confirm the anime will comeback at some point.
I think this is what they were talking about:

Interesting, hopefully they say more about it during the current stream. I'm surprised no one's talking about it.

A poyentional means unfortunately just that there might be. Not that there is... It'd be however strange if there's nothing for years.Matches Malone wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:37 am"V-Jump magazine editor-in-chief Victory Uchida confirms the existence of a potential anime sequel, but nothing specific, no date. So it's essentially what they've been saying since 2018 when Super ended, it may happen eventually.sangofe wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:04 amA poyentional means unfortunately just that there might be. Not that there is... It'd be however strange if there's nothing for years.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
That's enough, really. No one expected this sequel to come out a few years after the ToP arc ended, we are all well aware of the problems early Super had (like ep. 5). It was always obvious it'd take them longer to properly adapt the Moro arc (and future arcs) so that they have the same quality as the latter half of Super (Future Trunks/ToP arc). Just the fact that producers are seriously thinking about the idea of a sequel and haven't dismissed it is enough.Matches Malone wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:07 amSo it's essentially what they've been saying since 2018 when Super ended, it may happen eventually.sangofe wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 3:04 amA poyentional means unfortunately just that there might be. They could have very well just said "No, there are no plans for a continuation of Super for the foreseeable future, deal with it and go watch Heroes."
Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

Super ended in March 2018, come March 2021 the anime will have been over for 3 years. Really surprised they're leaving such a big gap.

Honestly I am so curious to listen to Moro's VA once the anime comes back. On paper Moro is a trash, forgettable villain, but given the right VA he could be more worthwhile.
Plus I'm sure Toyotaro would be happy if the Moro arc was animated. Who wouldn't? A mangaka is always joyful when their work is animated, because an animated show gives a lot more exposure to the story.

I thought by now a new movie would've been announced, but it looks like 2022 is the earliest we can expect to get something new.precita wrote: Sun Dec 20, 2020 12:53 pm Super ended in March 2018, come March 2021 the anime will have been over for 3 years. If anything was going to be released anytime from January to June or July we would've heard about it by now. If nothing's announced by March or April then we're also unlikely to get anything in the Fall.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If they had something in store for October I think it would have been already announced, like they did for Dai.

Wasn't the original run of Super announced out of nowhere in a press release? It could be announced any time. Or it could not be announced at all. Them saying nothing at Jump Festa means next to nothing as far as I'm concerned.
Dragon Ball Arc Rankings: 1. Piccolo Daimaō 2. Saiyan 3. 22nd Budōkai 4. 23rd Budōkai 5. Hunt For the Dragon Balls 6. Zamasu 7. Moro 8. Tournament of Power 9. 21st Budōkai 10. Broly 11. Kunzait_83 wrote:No matter what twisted pretzel logic you contort yourself into to try and convince yourself otherwise, Raditz landing on Earth is the middle of the fucking story. Zero context, zero setup. Its in NO way meant to be seen as a "beginning point" for ANYTHING other than the next story arc. It flows precisely and fluidly from where things left off in the aftermath of the 23rd Budokai and mostly hits the ground running from there without really stopping to look back. You're plopping someone into the middle of a book starting at chapter 195 out of 519 for absolutely no good goddamn reason, with very minimal opportunity to look back at much needed context and character/story growth.
