Theory: What if UI Goku’s hair gets more white over time??

As he gets deeper and deeper into perfecting it...?

Remember Whis said that Goku’s level of mastery over UI is nowhere near Whis’s!

And this is why they started out with Silver hair for Goku I presume.. As opposed to just straight up Angelic WHITE hair.. (Because now he has something to work towards and achieve!)

This way, we could still see a gradual “transformation/(recolor!)” happening...

By simply having Goku’s hair become less and less silver over time, and more and more white! At the limit, Goku will have white hair and possess purple eyes just like the Angels! And without going Super Saiyan! There will be no need for that then.

This is also why Merus (I believe) has more of a silver/grey colored hair then white in the full colored manga! Because his level of mastery over it is much lower than Whis’ and all the other Angels!

It all makes total sense now!

This is a good theory, as it'll change over time, but it won't be in your face like it turning purple or green for example.

That’s exactly what I’m saying! And WHITE hair!

The fact that Goku can still “improve his UI” (by leaps and bounds) as confirmed by Whis. Will justify him getting some type of visual change to signify an improvement in ability. (I.e. a recolor. But one that grows slowly over time, rather than steadily like the ones that came before it.)

I thought about that too. But I would rather see UI’s improvements change Goku’s appearance more and more towards his base state than towards him looking like an Angel... though I guess with Omen already feeling like halfway between UI and base that the possibility of the fully perfected UI being = base is already gone.

If I had to do it my own way, though, for the next step I would make the hair less “spiky” and make the eyes “open” like in base form, but with silver eyes. With the mastery of course being the ability to use UI without changing at all, having fully internalized it.

Good theory, I think it's possible.

While I believe it was mainly an art style evolution, the slender design for Ultra Instinct that we saw in the manga version of the Universe Survival arc could be a lower level of the form. When we next see it, it looks more like the anime version, Goku remains as buff as he usually is. It's possible that when he first used it in the Tournament of Power, the power of Ultra Instinct warped Goku's unprepared body in a similar way to Moro, but less drastically. Ideally, it seems that an Ultra Instinct user's body should be as muscle-free as possible (not necessarily slender since there are a few porkier Angels, but presumably slender is better), but this will of course require much spiritual training. The final evolution may see Goku's hair go white as snow, his eyes turn purple and his skin change to a blue complexion. And maybe he gets a halo for good measure. Goku fully goes down the Angelic path, meanwhile Vegeta goes down the Hakaishin path.

As much as Ultra Instinct is a "state of mind" above all, it's been reinforced many times that the technique can physically alter a person's body in extreme ways. Moro got the short end of that stick when he tried to steal it from Merus without any training, his body literally imploded into sludge. Meanwhile, Goku's magnificent abs turn as hard as diamond.

As you can clearly see here in this official full color image, Merus’ hair color changed from silver/grey, to full on WHITE after becoming a full Angel!

And now, to comment on your Merus (Angel) evidence, I think it might possibly happen the same too with Goku UI (Evolved).

All of them got white hair, unrelated to UI power.

Now, if Goku reach the lowest angel degree, his hair turn pure white.
But that doesn't mean the UI escalation is over.
So what happen next?

Galactic Patrolman Merus (NON Full Angel Merus) also has UI as shown. Hence why his hair is still somewhat silver/grey, (my own headcanon ofcourse lol) he could possibly be on UI Goku’s level in that state! And then when he goes full Angel and gets white hair, he completely transcends everything UI Goku is currently capable of..

My theory is that when the Angels were just born (before any training!) they may have had black hair.. Again. It’s just a theory of mine lol

Going from dark to light seems to be the route forward for Goku here..

UI Omen: Black hair.. Silver eyes and Aura.



Ultra Instinct: Silver hair, silver eyes, and silver aura.



Galactic Patrolman Merus: lighter silver/less silver hair than Goku.. Closer to white!



Angel Merus: WHITE Hair! (The lightest color there is.)
