Non-Canon Characters Or Concepts That You Wish Were Integrated Into Canon?
With Toriyama’s canonization of an anime only character like a Broly being well received all across aboard from fans into the “official history”( as the Japanese would say it ) what other anime-only characters or concepts do you wish to see Toriyama make canon in his universe?
- Super Saiyan 4(if possible)
- Cooler.
- Janemba
- Omega Shenron
What say you guys?

Lots of them are pretty interesting, like the Tree of Might (I used it as a major plot point in my now-abandoned fanfic).
The Pendulum Room is also a good one.

Shuura and Lucifer! They're perfect excuses to bring back and make into noble lords from the Makai.

Barring their cool designs and movies I just think they make for an easy excuse for new strong foes.PurestEvil wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 5:16 pmOh, that is what I wanted to say too.JulieYBM wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 5:14 pm Shuura and Lucifer! Just gonna go ahead and say the original Bardock story.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

None, as no canon has been stated so far. And there's absolutely no reason to keep creating counterparts to existing characters.
That said, use Janemba (or a similar character) to finally deal with the alternate dimension concept to bring movie villains and/or Dragon Ball GT characters into the dimension where the "main series" takes place. More interesting stuff can come out of that.

Why does this conversation about what is or isn't have to keep coming up? Not that canon matters, but canon doesn't need to be stated. That much should be clear. Canon is just another term for continuity. It's the accepted version of events within the story. You don't need someone to proclaim it. You just need to watch / read the story.
Anyway, none. We need more now stuff not drudging up old stuff and making it "canon" so someone's favorites can somehow feel more valid.

Does canon really matter at this point? I welcome anything that is well written, whether it be a game, television special, movie, or manga, Akira Toriyama or not.
As far as what I'd like rebooted, it would be interesting to see Pikkon, Cooler, and Uub rewritten under Toriyama's involvement. But if they're not, it isn't the end of the world. I already love the existing versions of the characters.

No, and it never did. It took me a while to realize that.Peach wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 9:39 pm Does canon really matter at this point? I welcome anything that is well written, whether it be a game, television special, movie, or manga, Akira Toriyama or not.

I don't care about canon either. I want to see creators creating the art they want to make.Peach wrote: Thu May 13, 2021 9:39 pm Does canon really matter at this point? I welcome anything that is well written, whether it be a game, television special, movie, or manga, Akira Toriyama or not.

If Toriyama wants to write someone in his story I'm not against it and will look forward it, but there's none I particularly or actively want.

I want the Makaioshin realm concept to be developed.
I'd like that whole negative energy concentrating on the DBs and creating 7 new enemies stuff too.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I feel a character sharing Hearts' motivations could bring the most to the current universe with its expanded mythology and lore. It'd be interesting to see Toriyama handle that kind of character.

A villain with Hearts’ motives would be great, but the fact that it’s already been wasted on an arcade game is unfortunate. Then again, the Baby saga borrowed from Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans,, so maybe there’s a chance it could still make its way to the series proper.Yuji wrote: Fri May 14, 2021 3:25 pm As I mentioned elsewhere, I feel a character sharing Hearts' motivations could bring the most to the current universe with its expanded mythology and lore. Super Saiyan 4 and its variations obviously. 'Nuff said.
