Characters than genuinly annoy you.

Any character at any point that steps in front of a blast to save another character instead of pushing them 3 feet out of the way annoys me. Example being when Nappa shot a blast at Gohan and Piccolo jumped in ...... stood there for about 5 seconds and got hit and died.

I dunno, Piccolo annoys me for some reason. Maybe it's the fact that people love him so much and I just don't get the appeal. What's so special about him?

Sure his design is really cool, but his character repeats the same types of action for 2 sagas then finally is put aside for other characters. He fuses with Nail/Kami because he's not strong enough to fight the current enemy. With his new fusion powers, he's somehow strong enough to fight said enemy despite the fact that the two characters on their own are pretty worthless. Then said enemy/new enemy powers up/transforms and stomps him, rendering him useless again.

I realize this is a very vague generalization and can be said for so many other characters. Like I said, I just don't like the guy.

We don't like characters for how strong they are.
Piccolo is a great character, who gets a lot of attention when it comes to character development, even before fusing with anybody.

I used to hate Mr Satan but he grew on me, and I also have to agree on Chi Chi I despise everything she represents, pushy Mums that are thinking about No1 in the long run.

What if Gohan DIDN'T want to be a Scholar, he had no choice whatsoever and had no chance at being anything different.

Pan in GT, all she did was whine bitch or moan about one thing or another (she was a tad more bearable in Japanese.) Her and Brolly, that guy is everything cliche' about DBZ wrapped up in one character.

I find it amusing that we seem to have three dominant categories of hated characters...

• Bitches
• Over rated characters with annoying fanboys.
• Characters that fit the original style of the series as amusing gag-inducing jokes.

I could see Chaozu getting depressed by the news that everyone hates him for being "weak and useless". ^_^. Funnily enough, ChiChi is relatively weak and useless... and Mr. Satan... and people say the same about Yamcha...

And on the completely opposite end of the spectrum, we have the Broli/Gogeta/omzwtfroflssj10Goku!11! fanboys, who have likewise earned glares of condemnation.

*shrug*. I think I'm going to go watch Goten and Trunks play on the dinosaur from movie10 again.

Since childhood they've all grown on me, Mr. Satan made me cringe when he first appeared, but somehow I grew to like him enough as a favourite character. I think I found background characters to be annoying, seriously.

It also seemed to me that she almost played favorites with her kids. Gohan had to sneak away to play, train or do anything but study. Yet, ChiChi trains Goten herself, while she still pressures Gohan to study. What the hell is up with that?

"Special needs" children can't be treated like geniuses.

Also, from reading the thread, it seems a lot of hatin' on ChiChi comes from filler-based incidents. Which means it's all invalid. Ahahahaha.

Ha, me two. That's why I've always loved this scene in the Freeza fight where Vegeta kicks Gohan out of the way of Freeza's blast.

Except it wasn't 3 seconds. It was more like 0.0000003 seconds. If he'd pushed instead of blocked they both would have been hit. In Chibi Mystic Gohan's (page stretching) scan Vegeta only avoided geting blasted himself because he kicked Gohan putting his body above the thin energy blasts fired by Freeza. If it had been a full wave, like what Nappa used, both of them would have been hit.
