So they confirmed that she is in kindergarten now. I don't know if the school system is the same in Japan but over here that would mean Pan is atleast 4 years old now.

I did a very quick research about it and some places say kindergarten starts at 3 and others say it starts at 4... Well, at least there seems to have no source saying 2, so we can rule out the possibility of Pan being two years old.

So this would mean that the movie will take place further than the point of the manga???

No. Pan is four when the tournament happens, but she'll turn five later that same year. She was born in AGE 779. Five years before the tournament.

The more I look at it, could this possibly be android related? Like maybe that shark-looking guy is some lost Gero android or something. I'm not saying the old Cell is involved, but with Pan confirmed in it, it's almost certain that Gohan will be involved in some way, maybe even as great Saiyaman. I mean, the manga did confirm that there are live Cell jr's, perhaps something involving them in some way? Could Gohan be visited once again by a demon from his past? Idk I'm just saying stuff since the trailer gave me literally a pittance to talk about.

Did they outright announce it will be CGI?

Because I wouldn't go by a teaser trailer just yet. That could have been something put together to announce the title.

If we get a trailer showing actual scenes of the movie, then it might be safe to say it is CGI or 2D.

Toriyama's announcement said:

We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!

and now this trailer, so I think it's pretty clear whether it's CG or not.

Saiyan arc is non-canon now it's not referenced in the movie!

It would be interesting if it’s set after EoZ with Goku being somewhere training with Uub for the first portion of the movie, and Vegeta also being unavailable for some reason, while a threat arrives on Earth forcing Piccolo and Gohan, and then Pan, to step up.

Goku will surely be featured but maybe he won’t be the focus.

And if Goku and Vegeta aren’t the main characters it would also be a nice way to avoid having to show their new progress from the manga.

Yeah, the story that Toriyama is deeply involved in is not canon now because reasons.. nope. I'm sure the current arc will end the same time as the movie comes out (or a month earlier), nothing will be ignored, just probably no shoehorned references.

Given they showed character designs for piccolo with and without his cape and turban I think its fair to say Piccolo is probrably gonna be fighting in this movie.

I'm down for a low stakes movie starting the side characters like Krillin Piccolo and Gohan. I Thought this is what other people wanted too but people are mad rn that this movie isn't Cooler or Janemba which I think are both stupid ideas. I'd much rather have a fresh new movie with Lower Stakes and let the side characters do things than just another "Harr Harr Big Punchy Punchy" Meathead Movie Like Broly was. I like the broly movie but that movie had practically no story and Broly barley had any more character than the original. Its just total spectacle.

If this movie is going for a more story based slice of life dragon ball theme then count me in. Haven't enjoyed slice of life in Dragon Ball Since...well Dragon Ball.

Right. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The actual stress-test for this one is if Goku can use Ultra Instinct or not. Without the manga stories, he was left off at a point where he couldn't tap into UI at will, but with the manga stories, thanks to the Moro arc, he now can (though he does choose not to during a proper fight unless it's necessary). So UI will be enough to tell you what you want to know there.

As a general reminder, be wary of confirmation bias. It can sneak in almost anywhere.
