Does anyone else feel like Granolah is a Gary Stue?
He is not a Mary Sue because he actually wished to be the strongest, so there's the explanation as to why he is so OP.
But he did have it easy compared to other villains like Cell or Zamasu.
For instance, Cell had to kill Future Trunks, steal his time machine, travel through time, hide for years underground, re-emerge and start feasting on people to grow stronger, find and absorb the two androids, etc. etc. etc.
Zamasu had to manipulate and deceive the other Gods, blackmail Zuno, kill his master, find the Super Dragon Balls twice, travel through time, train and fight to unlock the power of Goku's body, kill the other Gods, destroy the Super Dragon Balls, etc. etc. etc.
Granolah? Oh he just collected 2 balls and that was it. He didn't have to work for anything honestly, he had it so easy.
At his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.
