In the Sparking series, what is your playing style?

Post by Anonymous Friend » Fri May 16, 2008 10:01 pm

I like characters who have a good balance of speed and power. I like to have as Blast 1 a Wild Sense or After Image technique For Blast 2 one beam/ball type attack and either a dashing cutscene attack or a multi energy ball attack. The Ultimate Blast can be a dashing cutscene or a energy attack but I slightly prefer the energy attack only because if I'm fighting someone who uses their energy blast attack, I can cause a clash and get more damage out of it.

I tend to stay away from Androids and other non-chargable ki, characters because not being able to charge is such a hindrance and I tend to run out of ki at the most inopportune times and most time I just sit around waiting for my energy to come back. Even with the Ki+3 or other "Ki charge faster" Potara items it's still sometimes difficult use them. The only one that I frequent is Super 17. And that's only because he has decent attacks and a absorb energy ability which is a good defensive and ki building ability.

It's also interesting to note that with each game, I've used more of and gotten better with the melee fighting.

What about you?

I rush in and do melee attacks then jump back out after awhile and do a rush move or a beam attack.
I also never let anyone on my team die if I can help it; I always tend to switch out constantly.

If I have a fast character (Videl is probably the best with this), I just rush in and work on kicking the crap out of them.

If they're fairly slow, I mainly play defense and wait for an opening to hit with Blast 2s and Ultimates.

My characters (Gohan, Videl, and Pan) are built for power and speed. I'm all about the ground and pound. Throw in the occasional super move, some style, and an ultimate finish, and you've got me.

Trash-talking the other player into making a mistake, which I then exploit for massive damage.

You attack their weak point for said massive damage, correct?

Is the sequel going to have real time weapon change?

I play pretty aggressively by rushing into my opponent and (attempting to) beating the crap out of them with punches, then I dash off and fire energy attacks.

Maybe that's why I lose so much. :P

I like characters that have an Instantanious Transmission type attack that lets me transport behind the opponent then blast them with an energy attack. Examples: SSj Goku, Kid Buu, Janemba, ect.

I tend to charge my ki, fire a Kamehameha, do a few combos, then run and charge once more... then I tend to charge my ki, fire a Kamehameha, do a few combos.. oh, wait.

I usually take Videl and just punch and combo the heck out of my opponent, but if I'm in for the quick kill (or have to fight someone that can't be hit by combo's like Hildegarn or an Oozaru or something) I take Kid Buu and wait for my opponent to shoot a beam and use beam struggle to inflict even more damage (I own at beam struggles).
Also I'd like to Instant Transmission and Kid Buu's ultimate move to finish people, cause it's so devious :p

It can vary from character to character, but I usually play something like this:

1 - Charge Ki

2 - Rush the opponent

3 - Smash Opponent into ground

4 - Follow

5 - Follow through with a combo, leg sweep (or triangle related move), another combo, then I smash them up into the air

6 - Use super move (usually a volley, since beams and balls miss on occasion).

I usually change it up from time to time, and when I'm desperate I start to spam with ki attacks. I usually do that when the opponent is near max power.

From time to time, if the opponent uses a beam or ball, I'll use my blast 2 as to get into a struggle. Then I'll use the time afterwards to charge my ki.

My mains are Mirai Gohan and Kid Goku.

It really depends on if I'm playing seriously or not:

If I'm serious

I'll run in, and pound them with Melee attacks. I'll do the combo where you punch them in the gut, imobilizing them, then I'll Knock them up into the air, where I'll flow and hit them again. Then I'll press triangle and transport behind for a hit, then circle and knock them to the ground.

Then, I'll step back and hit them with some ultimate blasts. Up/Triangle and just Triangle, depending if I like the move or not.

Not serious

I'll try to make it look good, I'll let my health get down to make the fight look good, then I'll try (Notice I said "try") to come back and win. XD[/u]

I just win anyway possible. When I fight my friends or family in the game, I'll throw sand in their eyes or even force them to put the controller down as I destroy their character of choice.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Basically,

But actually, my best characters are probably Uub, Majin Vegeta, and SS(J) 4 Gogita.

However, I like to use the Furiza arc SS(J) Goku, because his "Angry Kamehameha" is the freakin best move ever.

(How could you NOT love a one-handed Kamehameha?!)

My main fighting strategy in Meteor is to stomp ass with my super-powerful Ultimate Gohan. How I usually go about it is to fire off either a Kamehameha or an energy field first thing, then charge in and start swinging wildly. I usually get things done pretty quickly! Ha! :D

A fast and strong fighter. When I'm in like a tournament I use someone like Dabura.

I only seriously played the first one and I played a little of the second one.

In the first one, I used the Budokai 3 password character import thing to bring in a maxed out Kid Goku from Budokai 3, then load him up on really good items. During the fights, I generally tried to fight hand-to-hand. However, if I was up against someone who used a lot of beam attacks, I replied in kind or used my Jan Ken.
