I remember reading an article back in middle school ( for me that's around 06-07) about how Japanese people, particularly those who're into the hip hop culture, not only try to dress in ways commonly associated with black people and braid their hair, but they even went as far as turning their hair into afro's and even buy brown skin spray to mimic the complexion. I found it more interesting than insulting that people would be so infatuated with some of the things that we do that they'd even go as far as to try to get our skin.

The brown skin might be a bit much but I think its ultimately harmless, he's paying tribute, not making a mockery. There was even a guy running around calling himself the Japanese Bruce Willis once upon a time.
