I come on here, buy some dvds, and in the past bought videos or taped off CN, buy manga, and am currently considering cosplaying Goku.

I'm watching other anime like One Piece and a few Super Sentai series.

No seriously I am. DB/Z holds a place in my heart but it was just another show for me that I really liked and still like.
Be grateful the filler in Dragon Ball doesn't suck like the 3rd arc of Rurouni Kenshin.

- Buy all the stuff I can
- Watch a little of the anime each day
- Read the manga
- Draw it
- Play Tenkaichi 3 constantly
- Talk to my bro's about it
- Think about it too much
- Reference it when I'm talking about something completely different

I cosplayed as Goku in 5th and 6th grade, Dragonball version. Homemade costume, bizarro-looking foam hair put on a hairband.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
-I used to watch the anime, but they don't show it on TV anymore and I never buy videos or DVDs. I haven't seen an episode in years.

-I've bought a few volumes of the manga and some toys, but I never made a habit out of it and haven't bought any for about a year or so.

-I used to draw lots of fanart, but I got tired of it.

-I used to buy the games, but I doubt there will be anymore for PS2 and I don't plan on getting any other systems. I still might pop in old games though.

...So, I think the only thing I CURRENTLY do is visit this place. :p

I watch the anime periodically about every year or so. I also buy the new games whenever they come out.

-Read all of the manga once in a while, usually every two years
-Play the good video games
-Draw some fanart
-Talk about it to my colleagues, buy only when they ask some questions, which is often
-Made 14 custom DVD covers for my fansubs (french DVDs suck), and I'm planning to do the same for the movies.
-Think about it at least once every day...

Make funny strips about it
Make a webcomic about it, recently ;)
Make a whole site about it
Make bad songs from Buffy on it.

Buy mangas, all french editions, in order to bash them because they deserve it
Buy dvds, sometime.
Troll a lot about it
Stupid things on DBZ - Dragon Ball Multiverse Webcomic
-what happened in dbz today?
-they fought some guy

I... think about Dragonball daily.
- Go to Daizenshuu EX boards daily.
- Look for newsupdates daily.
- Listen to podcasts.
- Look for news about video games.
- Occasionally play the video games.
- Occasionally read the manga.
- Order new DVD sets coming out in France.
...

Thx guys. But I have to ask something else. AS much as I love the artwork for DBZ and like the story arcs, dosen't it get tireing just watching the same episode and movie over and over and over again? To the point where you don't get that DBZ "feeling" anymore. (Some people know what I mean." I REALLY like DragonBall shit, but i just don't know what to do anymore? Can anyone help me out?

I usually watch the show with breaks and stuff. But being as I have yet to see everything Dragonball related that is out there, I can't really give you a solid answer.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Nothing, because honestly, it's a 20 year old comic. It's fun to talk about sometimes but no way am I autistic enough to openly go Dragonball Fan in real life.

In addition to this not even making a shred of sense, it's horribly asinine in tone and accuracy.

:? Is being a Dragon Ball fan really so bad? I don't really undertsand what the shame is in "admitting" you like an older, kid oriented shonen anime/manga.

I've gotten laughed at a few times for it, but what you like is far more relavent than the opinion of others. It's just a form of entertainment, not a lifestyle decision!

And I don't think autistic is a proper description, and honestly, is kind of offensive.

....I just don't see it as being any different from any other fandom in existence. But my nerd factor is pretty high, so maybe I stand alone on this.

My geek factor is pretty high:

Own all the Dragonball, DBZ and GT anime
Own all the manga
Collect figures, action figures, and sword replicas when they apply (I currently just have Trunks though I've seen Dabura's pop up every so often)
Collect all the video games I can
Own several wall scrolls, have several others I've bought that sit in my closet because my walls are out of room.
Own as many of the soundtracks (both English and Japanese) that I can get my hands on
Write/Read Fanfiction
Make Dragonball AMVs
Come on here to read/write about the show

That aside, my interest in Dragonball introduced me to other anime, mainly Rumiko Takahashi's stuff, and also seems to give me an edge in my job. I work with adolescents and children in a psychiatric ward and it can be very difficult finding ANYTHING to talk with the older boys about but Dragonball Z comes up every single time in their conversations, either as a topic itself or in relation to another anime so it gives me something to relate to them on.

Well, you know the stereotype of Dragonball fans on the internet (think youtube commentators and such)? In real life, talking about cartoons from when you were 12 is sort of like that. That may be tough to admit, but it's true. Of course, on the internet, that's different; I certainly love the series and grew up on it, but honestly? I'd feel pretty sillly wearing a shirt with Goku on it in public. I mean, to each their own, sure, but man...eventually you gotta grow up and move on past childhood.

No. eventually you have to grow up and rid yourself of the mentality that enjoying a children's television show/comic somehow makes you less of an adult.

Well said. Depriving yourself for people who probably don't like you anyway is foolish. Enjoy Dragonball if you want.
