Burst Limit (and other games) Cut-scene/Anime comparisons

Post by The Time Traveller » Sun Jun 08, 2008 3:12 pm

I was watching some videos of Burst Limit on the YouTubes and noticed that the cut scenes look pretty close to the anime, though that's pretty obvious if you've been playing the game or just knew it already, I thought it would be fun to do a comparison. Sorry for the quality of the Burst Limit screen shots, I don't own the game yet. You could make your own comparisons too, with Burst Limit and other games of course.

I decided to do the Fight between Goku and Freeza, one of my favourite battles. From Goku turning Super Saiyajin to Freeza's defeat.
You'll notice some of the angles that shots are made are entirely different.
I used the Season sets to take the screen shots on VLC, like normal really.

Yup, those're the best cutscenes in Burst Limit.
Apart from that, they're mostly tossed together from different animations from match intro's.

Sparking! Meteor is like this, too. There are a lot of scenes from that game that basically mirrors the Anime in a few ways.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Those are cool to compare the two.

But I have to say  what a time for one of your friends to come online/go offline. I hate it when friends messages pop up like when I'm playing a game. But if i was taking a picture and it happened I'd be pissed.

Oh wow, I'll rename the thread and we can compare the anime and more game cut scenes. And maybe compare manga panels.

Here's a classic, I can't believe they even included it in the game.

I like how they have to fuck up a translation just to get "LAWL" points for a shitty internet fad.

They might as well throw in some other meme's in there as well.

Tien: (After getting arm cut off) "Just wait till it grows back!"
Nappa: "HUMANS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!"

---

King Kai: "Okay Goku, for me to train you, you must do one thing."
Goku: "What's that?"
King Kai: "Make me lul"

---

And the Ginyu Force's poses would consist of at least 100 barrel rolls.

...okay, I've got it out of my system.

Even better

Nappa : "What's wrong Vegeta?"

Vegeta : "It's the scouter .....

Nappa : What's it say?

Vegeta's scouter "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you"

Vegeta "DARN IT I WAS RICK ROLLED" *smashes scouter in hand*

My brother does a spot-on impression of Brian Drummond's "...OVER 9000!" line. It's the best thing ever.
