Always happy to see tank top Vegeta. Ambivalent about everything else. Still not on the cgi train, not a RR fan, I like light hearted stories in weekly series, but I'd rather have an adventure and a legit antagonist for a movie. It'll probably be alright, but nothing to write home about. Still excited for Jump Festa though.

Unless this movie becomes a social phenomenon and earn HUGE amount of money in japan(like DS did), I am not sure this movie will surpass BROLY. Some people are excited for Gohan but thats it, hope they market it well.

Even taking inflation into account, I still don't think it'll make more money than Broly because it looks to me right now like it's going to be a more niche and comedic movie when the general public, I'd think, would respond better to an action film like Broly. It's good to see Gohan again. He's not my favorite, but I like him and his Great Saiyaman stuff. I hope whatever they have to show at Jump Festa will be interesting.

Worldwide audience or casual fans all over the world dont want too much Comedy or slice of life stuff so this movie will be carried by japan, unless Toriyama has something in his sleeve. although I highly doubt it but then again we all know he likes to subvert expectation.

I feel like Vegeta being in the movie is a sign that we could see Ultra Ego in animated form. They can explain the form via flash back to people who are not manga readers or just explain that Vegeta learn it with Beerus during the last few years.

Eeeeeeeh. I wouldn't count on it. Would be nice if the movie didn't pretend that the manga exclusive arcs didn't exist, but to include a flashback to a story the anime never covered would just confuse people. They'd think they'd missed something. Plus, nothing, not even the video games, have ever once referenced the manga material. Although that could be because they don't have a voice actor set up for characters like Moro yet. But Ultra Ego shouldn't be a problem, since that's just Vegeta.

I would be surprised if Goku and Vegeta use anything above SSB in this movie. I wouldn't even be surprised if SSB is just used for the sparring match with Broly at the start and SS/SSG is used for the rest of the film.

I would bet good money we won't see UE Vegeta, at most Vegeta might hint he has another transformation up his sleeve when sparring against Broly or something

Can''t get over how good his new design looks. Bang, muscles and his own gi color. It's perfect! I really like how his gi doesn't have the exact same colors than Piccolo's.

Hmm... something just dawned on me. So the plot involves the Red Ribbon Army. There's a short dude that looks like Commander Red. He seems to have a tall assistant just like Commander Red did with Officer Black. What if that tall guy in the red suit betrays the short guy and ends up being the final baddie?

I doubt Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 are the main antagonists. I'm predicting that they're being misled to believe that the main cast are villains.

I'm all for seeing old story arcs become relevant in modern DB and having cheeky references to them. When it comes to simple character insertion like that though? It feels off. It's one of the reasons I didn't like Broly (besides me being bored). He was an established thing. Android 21 is also an established thing.

If they give a vague Easter egg like a little Android 21 keychain or something in the movie that's cool, but any more and I feel like it is fanservice to get people excited that a videogame character shows up for some reason.

I don't think they'll do this.

This is super cool. We didn’t enjoy much of this costume in Buu arc except for the Broly movie, but what is interesting, that this is actually 1 for 1 the same get up that Piccolo wears. As he has the sash not tied by his side but wrapped around and Namekian bean sacks instead of the kung fu shoes.

I love the figurine a lot. I wonder if he is able to go Super Saiyan or this is Unlocked Potential.

Damn, Gohan's hair gets a bit... weird in a scene there. Don't know what's going on, but I'd like to see Super Saiyan 2 possibly appearing, as he powers up in his Super Saiyan form.

The movie will be released in April 22 in Japan.
