Dragon Box question
I've been thinking about buying a Dragon Box, which one should I buy and how much would it cost?

Re: Dragon Box
It might literally cost you an arm and leg whether its R1 OR R2. The American DBoxes have been discontinued for 10 years and are price gauged to shit by resellers. Your "best" option is buying the R2 singles that I think are still on the market but still overpriced and then getting your hand on subtitle tracks (but of course, ripping all the discs to your computer is a process in and of itself).

Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Re: Dragon Box
Got my singles in a lot (discs only) for about $100-$150 per seres (DB and Z). They're also ex-rentals and all in pretty good to like new shape. Threw em in 6 disc DVD cases with custom art and I was good to go. I think there are some SRT subs for the Dragon Boxes if you watch them on VLC.
Overall not a bad price considering.

Re: Dragon Box question
By which one do you mean US or Japanese one? Either way it's gonna cost you hundreds of bucks for each "volume", probably over a thousand for the whole set.

I can help you out with that since I am selling US DBoxes volumes 5 and 6 for $200 each, shipping included. PM me if you are interested.alexandermilam wrote: Tue Jan 04, 2022 10:16 pm I've been thinking about buying a Dragon Box, which one should I buy and how much would it cost?
If you are interested in getting the US ones in the first place, that is.

Re: Dragon Box question
I definitely overpaid for my Japanese ones, back before they had a price drop. I think I got the movies and GT for about $450 each, $800 for Dragon Ball (one disc was replaced with a disc from the singles and no diorama or whatever it comes with) and any $750 per Z (two in total).
When I got mine, DB and DBZ were as good as they were going to get, but right after I bought them, I found them for cheaper.
But, all that to say that I understand if you're willing to pay a stupid price for them just because you want to.
If I were you, I'd shoot for the Japanese Dragon Boxes. I feel like you'd get more content (either one will be half the series instead of 40 episodes or so). If you're debating which series, I'd suggest Dragon Ball. Z has so many options on the market, the movies got decent releases, and GT got a decent release (singles). Dragon Ball is kind of the worst off.
Try these:
Just be weary of fakes.
