Who is your favorite Red Ribon villain (OG DB only)

RRA is probably my favorite part of OG DragonBall since it has a lot of memorable villains, all with unique designs and fights.

It's hard to choose but my top 2 have to be Murasaki and General Blue.
Murasaki was a pretty funny comedic villain and I like the sudden faux-Japanese floor in Muscle Tower where he fights. Probably my favorite MT fight.
General Blue was also interesting, partly due to his powers and partly due to his storyline. Combining the more serious tone of earlier DB with the whole pirate treasure hunt with the slightly more serious RR tone was a great idea.
The character himself was also interesting, combining his paralyzing powers with some very funny character writing. Struck a perfect balance between serious and humorous.


Honorable mention goes to Yellow, because of his design. Unfortunately, he did not stick around long enough to make an impact.

There's whole bunch of them & I kinda like everyone

Ninja Murasaki is fan-favourite & he's voiced by legendary Aono Takeshi. His antics & style is hilarious & I sincerely cant bring myself to consider him as a villain though dude's an assasin

Blue is John Rambo of DB lol. He survives pretty much most terrors that would've killed any human. He is definetly one of my fav based on looks, voice & his survival instincts

I've grown to enjoy Commander Red recent years as well. His scenes with Black & his moments when Goku races to RRA Base seemed fun

Most fav has to be Major Metallic. His fight with Goku inside Muscle Tower was so dope & fun to watch

Silver was so hot in the cartoon series. Cool directing, commanded a lot of troops and had Ginga Banjou as his voice actor! Damn, what an incredibly hot guy!

Have I mentioned how hot Silver is?

I liked what the anime did with Colonel Violet. Not only because she had no loyalty to Red and just wanted money but the fact that she was also an animal lover being very friendly towards the monkeys.


For the manga definitely Murasaki.

My favorite RRA members are Black and Blue (pun intended), whereas my favorite villain of the whole saga is Tao Pai Pai.

I would say Blue, definitely, although Murasaki is a decent runner up. Murasaki is hilariously entertaining, no question, but he is almost completely buffoonish. That's fine, but Blue is both buffoonish and deadly. The writing strikes that great balance of the best Dragon Ball characters, presenting him as dangerously effective while not being at all afraid to show all of his silly foibles. Neither manages to undermine the other either. As a matter of fact, his comedic fussiness makes him all the more dangerous. He has one of the great establishing character moments, wherein he orders the execution of a subordinate caught picking his nose. I absolutely love General Blue.
