I mean...no anime movie should be costing $200 million to make anyways. For comparison sake, DBS Broly's budget is reported to be only around 8 million. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is about 14mill. I imagine that the budget for Super Hero is somewhere between there, or slightly lower than Broly.

Give the extra $192,000,000 to the animation staff.

The animation looks like a mix of Toriyama's Kanzenban covers' art from the 2000's, FighterZ and the Berserk Golden Age arc movies. I like it.

Before the trailers I was expecting this to be full CGI like that "DBZ: The Real 4D" animation shown in Japan, which I also liked. I don't see the big deal with having a CG DB movie. It is quite obvious this is something being done just for this movie, and all future DB anime will remain 2D as always (be it Super season 2 or any new movies).

I'm just glad we're having a new movie after 3 years since Broly and 4 since the end of Super.

As for the plot, the new RRA reminds me of DB Online, which is great (if only we could ever get a DBO series )

This is looking to be much more like a slice of life BoG kind of movie than like RoF or Broly. Hopefully this time the fight scenes will be longer than Goku vs Beerus' 17 minutes rushed fight.

They announced Blizzard on 24 October 2018. Less than a month before release of the film.

It's not exactly obvious or guaranteed but the usual suspects being absent (Sumitomo, Shintani) and Toei having a busy schedule with other anime series coincidentally ending around the same time seems to point toward 2per returning in 2d format once the animators are free. The movie is probably a way to generate brand hype for the eventual return.

Guess folks were right in thinking Pan would be kidnapped... To think some originality could come out of it. Plot does seem to be as thin as a paper as always, but still looking forward to at least see some characters with new designs and looking older!

I had to consult the geniuses from Twitter to notice if there's any difference, and voilà, Piccolo has black lines in his arms, but if you look at the poster, he doesn't have any. We actually do see Piccolo transforming into it in the trailer. So I think it's pretty much confirmed Piccolo has his a new transformation! Not even Dragon Ball Heroes did that for him, but hopefully this inspires them to give Piccolo at least the red-eyed form.

By the way, they are calling it "潜在能力解放", a common alternative name for "Ultimate" (used by Dimps and their games), "Potential Released/Unleashed"

Vegeta got God power without the Super Saiyan God ritual, after all. Wonder what Red Ribbon has in that metal sphere. Some secret weapon, I expect. Maybe they'll collecting data from the battles to feed to whatever is in there.

Maybe Piccolo throws Dr. Hedo into it and turns him into some giant monster that tries to kill Pan, and then Gohan gets a rage boost and beats the fuck out of the grotesque doctor
