I don’t recall babies having a rope tie or whatever you call it bag holding them

I can’t bring myself to be hyped, but maybe the movie will be an enjoyable diversion.

So, is Ultimate Piccolo the mystery character they teased a while back? I would’ve expected Gohan to be the one given a new form.

Probably the odd one out here but I'm not a big fan of golden form Piccolo. Something of an unintended fixture for him was the consistency in his overall look throughout the series no matter how strong he became. If it's true he underwent the potential unlock ritual by Elder Kai then that's wonderful! Such an unsung and underutilised method to rapidly grow in power. It's something that the practising human fighters should be requesting to undergo even if they can't match the Saiyans. But for Piccolo, a more pronounced aura or somewhat uplifted antennae could have worked to distinguish his looks and help the viewer know that he's undergone a power evolution of some sort; that's just me, though.

Count me enthused about the possibility of Gohan assuming the lead role at least for a time here. He's my favourite character in the series and to watch how he handles the role in the modern setting could have promise, provided it's not like the Buu arc where he slackened in his training efforts despite being entrusted with the fate of the world.

A lot of excitement over the possibility of Broly fighting Beerus. It seems interesting on paper but I'm still trying to wrap my head around Broly posing as a rivalrous contender for the Hakaishin when Goku with his Ultra Instinct is still playing the ever constant cat and mouse game with trying to reach Beerus' level.

Who knows that’s assuming first that it’s not a bag she’s holding

Nowhere was it stated that Broly and even Jiren are weaker than Beerus. I already covered that interview that Toyotaro did in another thread. Even Goku is ambiguous given what everyone saw in chapter 81. After looking at Masakox channel there was doubt about Beerus power compared to those three even Gas and Granolah.

I just realized that Gohan using Super Saiyan pretty much screws up whatever Toyo was doing with him since the ToP. Evolving as a human crap and all that.

Okay. I can officially say that I’m excited. That trailer looked great, I love the new poster and I love the cast of characters featured in the film. I’m finally on board.

It seems to be following the anime in this point, with Gohan going Ultimate directly from Super Saiyan.

Unlikely this movie follows what Toriyama writes and goes with

The rope to help tighten the carrier incase the baby gets cold? Sounds no different than a hood to me, lets not forget that Broli, Cheelai and Leemo are still living on Vampa and I doubt Bulma took into consideration that Broli was gonna be making any babies (Considering she never met Cheelai and Leemo in the first place) so its likely there're no potential baby essentials included in her capsules that they got in the end of the movie. So they had to make something from scratch.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Hmmm I will consider your point about the bag but them living on Vampa still is a stretch. I don’t know if she’s holding a baby or not it’s be weird if it was food.

Well, There's still another andriod who will be the main antagonist going by the translations. Maybe this is the mystery character.

It would be cool if #1 and #2 fused and fought Gottenks in the climax of the movie.

Also. I wonder if Tao is in this film? He was affiliated with the Red Ribbon Army.

Eh time to call it.

The only people I’ve seen produce content that so clearly expresses such contempt for its audience & their intelligence equivalent to what Toei & Toriyama are currently doing with Dragonball. Are Vince & Stephanie McMahon and their aide Kevin Dunn.

The online distaste for this film is ubiquitous(outside of Kanzenshuu) and personally I haven’t met a fan or casual anime movie watcher who doesn’t actively dislike this film, mind you those of us who took a sec to take off the rose tinted glasses of fanboyism all knew it straight up dog shit from the get-go.

Letting a no name like Tetsuro Kodama (seriously who tf is this :D ) who uses undergrads for his CG work have carte blanche to direct is like giving the keys for a Lamborghini Huracán to toddler expecting it to win the 1st place in the Monaco Grand Prix. They gotta stop this crap where any Johnny come lately can claim they are a fan of the franchise & automatically get to work on it without even doing a sniff test to see if they have talent for it. I said before this is shaping up to be The Last Jedi of Dragonball Super. Hell, we already got our Rian Johnson in Kodama for directing now we wait for those delicious retcons we love to see.

I think you spoke too soon there are clearly some individuals here that aren’t looking foward to this film. I should know I’m one of them but in my case it’s because especially given this new trailer. Nothing is getting me not speaking for everyone interested except for Goku Broly Beerus.

This movie has nearly everything I want. Timeskip that actually means something, some characters with new designs, others getting older. I do like myself the "slice of life" vibes once in a while. And while I can't say for a certain until I watch it, I do hope there are some nice interactions in there too.

I think my only issues will be the plot (as expected), which doesn't seem to bring anything new, and the antagonists, which I think I'll forget about those gamma and beta dudes after the movie is released quickly, I don't really care for these type of characters. Seeing people saying there's more to come, hopefully the "big bad guy" is someone more interesting. But those are issues I'm willing to ignore in the name of some and finally genuine entertainment I may have thanks to the positive things I said in the first paragraph.

(About the "slice of life" I said, I also want Dragon Ball to tackle on the "mUltiVerSal uLtRa omNipOtEnt vIllAiN", as VegettoEX says, for characters to deal with, especially if they are accompanied by their counterparts from other dimension. Like I always say, there has to be some kind of balance. Keeping stuff "minimal" all the time is boring. We are, after all, in the "multiverse era". And Dragon Ball, thank Dende and mainly Dimps, can do that too).
