So what does this have to do with Dragonball?

I understand where the snarky nudge is coming from, but a cursory glance at other posts would pretty quickly reveal that he is the second-tier FUNimation English dub voice of Freeza for when the late Chris Ayres was unavailable to voice the character in the post-Kai productions, games and Super included.

While there was SOME snark there, my initial reaction to the thread was indeed looking at the title and seeing a name I've never seen before in my life, looking at the OP which says absolutely nothing beyond posting a link, then clicking on said link to learn that this is the name of a person that was a voice actor in some non-Dragonball media, THEN doing a search for "Dra" and "db" in that article and still getting nothing.
(this also technically happened this morning when there were two posts in the thread, but I was browsing on my phone and didn't bother logging in just to say this)

Not to be a wise guy here but we have a internet it’s not hard to know who Daman Mills is. And yes it’s true there are fans that would want Linda Young to return. But having said that this really effects the dub side of Dragon Ball and how shady everything is.

To me understanding Mills is being accused of Sexual Misconduct not assault or rape. If you are 19 and have concensal sexual interactions with a minor which he admitted to that would be Misconduct.

An adult can't pleasure themselves next to a minor or feel on them concensal or not if the minor is underage.

"Daman Mills" was the name of a toy company for all I knew. I clicked on it because I DIDN'T know what it was, not because I knew it was something I'd have zero interest in. My posts were also not about how much I don't care, but about how this is a very uniformative thread and even the article it links to says abolutely nothing about what makes this even remotely related to Dragon Ball.

Are we done now? Mike already said OPs should do a better job than this to explain what their thread is supposed to be about.

It’a quite alright if I had known he wasn’t gonna look at the posts or look up at google or whatever. I would’ve helped sooner. But there’s something I still need to confirm and that’s why I didn’t post in this thread for a awhile.

Also Mills confirmed a relation but referred to it as consensual. So even if the person is lying about assault there’s still the issue of Mills being 19 and engaging in sexual relations with a 15 year old.

My only hope is that Sony/Funimation/Crunchyroll/whoever takes the correct action and dumps the guy as soon as possible.

It would, of course, behoove topic creators to drop actual, useful, comprehensive information if you choose to put yourself in the position of starting a conversation.

If your thread requires people to either run off to google or wait hours for someone to make more informative posts, you probably didn't make a very good thread, and should probably learn how to do a better job instead of just doubling down on "just use google to find out why this technically isn't ENTIRELY off topic".

We're not talking about a college student going out of his way to stalk and groom high school kids with weed and candy. We're talking about two people meeting online who would qualify for Romeo and Juliet laws in most US states and would pass age of consent laws in most European countries. My partner and I met at the same ages and we've been together for 6 years.

I had my suspicions about Daman Mills when I heard about the Vic case. I intentionally stayed out of that because of curiosity of what I’ve been hearing about the other actors. And even some shady DB YouTubers.

It’s from what I’ve been hearing from other fans that have met Mills in the past and what they have told me. Of course I stayed outta the Vic case because back than I didn’t see anyone else as being different. Truth be told since I was a boy I didn’t want to trust adults anymore.

No, I had no idea what a "Daman Mills" was or what it had to do with Dragonball, why the absolute hell would I know that? It took clicking on the thread and THEN clicking on another link to even learn that it was the name of a person, and even that link didn't mention Dragonball in any way.

Out of curiosity I just did a search for "Daman Mills" on the forum and got 200 hits, 36 of which were this thread, half of which were in a thread called ""Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread" and most of the rest of which were either in threads that are clearly specifically about the English dub or about video games I don't play. I have no idea why you think this guy's existence is some sort of common knowledge.

Well just like you didn't know who Mills was I had no idea there were English speaking Dragonball fans that had zero to due with the English speaking product.

I've heard of sub only fans but you don't play the games either.

BTW the Age of consent is 16 in Ohio.

Yeah, I'm one of those crusty old grandpas that think video games died about twenty years ago. Last Dragonball game I played was Tenkaichi Daiboken, I think (and that one didn't exactly ooze of quality).

Surely they still speak Japanese in the games though.
