I don't know how Piccolo hasn't unlocked his own potential after all this time. Given he's the most powerful and most experienced Namek in known existence and has all of Kami's knowledge and wisdom. Or why he hasn't borrowed a ship and gone to Yardrat to master his meditation and hone his abilities further with Spirit Control (in spite of the fact all these vaunted Yardratian techniques are all things Piccolo has utilized for many years, aside from Instant Transmission...). OR why he hasn't taken the long way to Otherworld and either gone to see King Kai to master Kaioken and/or gone to Elder Kai for his Potential Awakening. There are plenty of options for Piccolo that don't involve using the Dragon Balls to cheat his way to improvement. That goes entirely against his character.

After losing to Gamma 2, Piccolo decides to have his potential unlocked. He goes to Dende so he could draw out his potential like Elder Guru did in Namek, but Dende isn't skilled enough to do it, so he recommends Shenron. Dende tells Piccolo that he has upgraded Shenron to now grant 3 wishes (earlier it was 2 if a wish was powerful/difficult like involving resurrecting a large number of people, now it's 3 no matter what wish). After Bulma's 2 wishes, Piccolo's wish is the 3rd one.
And yeah, Pan hasn't been kidnapped yet in the movie.

Because that would take away marketing attention from Gokū and Vegeta. Most of their decisions are made not for telling a story now, but for marketing. I firmly believe they think having unique colours for Gokū and Vegeta figurines make them more attractive from a marketing standpoint. There is no other reason.

The reality is the SSG merchandise never did very well and Goku and Vegeta have largely fallen off the past few years in terms of fan interest when it comes to said merchandise sales. It's actually other characters fans are showing more interest in lately and characters like Gohan getting a new figure just about every month this year instead of those two. So I don't think their decisions are for marketing - if anything, this new movie seems to be based largely on soothing fan complaints and going from there.

Then I really need a reason why they haven't given them the god forms, because it makes no sense and they should be handing god power out to EVERYONE rather than letting everyone just match gods casually.

The real answer is probably that Toriyama just doesn't care enough and in the case of other characters Gohan has his Ultimate form and now Piccolo has his Power Awakening form as well. As for Goten and Trunks... well it took this long just to age them up to where they should have been so the amount of care there is also left wanting.

Yes seriously this film had poor marketing for the past few months and the plot isn't interesting to be all "gotta make sure there's no leaks" and shit

I do believe in Japan, that is considered a compliment. Not every single thing is a thinly veiled pass at sex. Chill.

While you don't have to look very far to find people taking issue with it and its outdated gendered implications, and it'll probably change more in the future, it's still (unfortunately) relatively often used as a general compliment in Japan, including among women.

It's not great, and it's incredibly sexist, but I'm not sure this is a case of Dragon Ball being particularly tone-deaf above and beyond the call of duty.

To add to this, it would be about a year or so after Granolah. Pan's one to two at the end of the Moro arc/beginning of Granolah, and must be at least three for her Japanese-style kindergarten commuting here.

The Dragon Ball use clues us in that it also has to be at least a year after Broly.

It's about a year out from the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai, where Pan is four.

Speaking of the Dragon Balls, if Shenlong is indeed granting three wishes in this movie (finally they realized he can do that!), then the next saga and/or movie cannot take place before AGE 783, and that is because the balls takes a year to recharge if three wishes are granted.

Seeing as how the characters are heavily dependent on the Dragon Balls (or at least, it seems to have a demand for the Dragon Balls to be used in the movies), we are certain to have another timeskip, a year minimum, by the next saga or movie if they want to use the balls again. If they pay attention to this detail, of course.

It all depends on the woman and how you approach them. In my experience, women like to get complimented (as do men) as long as you handle it in a polite manner.

I'm really curious to see the final boss of this movie so it has at least that going for it. However, the spread out release date won't do it any favors, especially with today's spoiler culture.

Honestly, I wouldn't take offense if a guy said that I would make a great wife, I'd just tell him that he's wrong, but thanks lol. I know I'd make a terrible girlfriend/wife, so I'm just being honest with them. If a guy tells me I'm cute that's just a little self-esteem booster. It only gets scary when a guy is too pushy and doesn't take "no" for an answer. Sadly, I've had men not even go away when I told them I already had a boyfriend(I lied, but still). I take pushy advances as a threat, but as long as he respects boundaries, it's cool.

And really, it should be obvious, but Beerus is likely saying this because he recognizes Cheelai has feelings for Broly and Broly is...well, he's a Saiyan and like Goku was early on he doesn't recognize certain social cues. Like when a girl 'like' likes him. So it was likely said to see if Broly would react to Beerus saying that. To which Broly might not due to not understanding what those words mean. Like how Goku thought marriage was some kind of food.

The sad thing is, that's an out of universe reason. And my issue with their Potential Released forms is - at least when Beerus and gods were introduced in God and God - it was painted as a realm above just normal ki. So they shouldn't be able to match Goku and Vegeta to start with. But laziness in the writing lets everyone do it now, and Beerus only remains consistent in his inconsistency as a threat because they want to keep a bar above Goku and Vegeta. It's just poor that not only is there no in-universe reason for why no one else has god forms, they just let everyone match the gods conveniently because they refuse to do it.

Considering I am not excited for this movie in any way, shape or form, and have seen enough spoilers to confirm my general lack of excitement...yeah, I'd love to have it spoiled for me already. We already know the villain, and it's a Gohan-centric film, so I am not expecting anything interesting at this point. If I could get a full on written out synopsis, I'd love it.
