If what the leakers say is true, the Cell thing Final Boss is just a big monster, It has no speaking lines, so maybe thats why they want to keep it a secret, because its just fireworks with 0 substance, the Gammas are more important to the story and they have personalities to interact with Gohan and Piccolo, so they might want to keep the focus on them.

I think Super is on its way out.

But without Super, how are Bandai Namco, Toei, Bandai (yes, there's a difference, Bandai Namco makes video games and stuff, Bandai makes Toys) and Shueisha supposed to milk the cash cow that is the Dragon Ball franchise? Am I really supposed to believe that Super Dragon Ball Heroes is THAT profitable?

I don't really know much about DBH, but I do know this: the fact that is has received multiple seasons - I'm talking its anime, not the games - is in my opinion, a bad sign. The original manga was, on some level, about telling a story. It initially began as a gag series, but it did develop dignity as it went and Toriyama tried to tell some sorta story. I can't say the same about DBS and I sure as fuck can't say the same about DBH's anime, which exists to serve the lowest common denominator of Dragon Ball fans: the ones who think the series should be only fights, only explosions and energy beams, and nothing else.

Interesting idea, but personally I'd replace a movie about someone useless like Yamcha and make a movie about an important character like Zamasu. It always feels like there was room to expand on Zamasu's backstory, either as a North Kai (when he saw many examples of mortals being stupid) or as Goku Black (when he destroyed many civilizations before coming to Earth).

You know I don't see why people here are so antagonistic towards your idea. Before this movie was announced, people here would just tell you "it's not Dragon Ball if it's not centred around Goku". But with this movie, that ignores Goku to focus on Gohan and Piccolo, we now know that it is possible to make DB stories where Goku doesn't matter. And so your idea seems like a natural route to extend the franchise without surpassing the End of Z, which Toriyama always felt was a reasonable conclusion for the story of Goku.

DB is at it's best when you have the entire cast bouncing off each other. Most of these character-focused movies from this picture could be merged into just one or two big ones. Great Saiyaman for example, like we already saw him 20 times, no need for an entire movie here doing the same. Uub's role in the Moro arc is minimal, not sure why the picture's author even titled it like it was his arc.

It comes off as too Marvel-ish.

Also, would totally love if they made something like "How Future Trunks got his sword" with some incredible story behind it, still in the apocalyptic future btw. And a look at the the Future Teen Gohan if possible.
