It looks too busy to me. I thought it was armor at first.

If you thought it looked like armor, then that's because it's too flat, not because of the detail.

Example same design bottom middle...

Image

...it looks more Gi like there^ because it bags out at the bottom where as in the other pic I tightened it up to make him look thinner.

Another exmaple, is the first time I drew him...

Image

...but he looked too thick so I slimmed it down.

Here's a nice little tribute I organized. I think it's pretty awesome, it kept me entertained for the first two hours after making it.

Son Goku, You Are Mighty! A tribute like no other.

If you really look into the structure of the site and the type of site it is you will realize that it's a really simple thing, however, please don't use that as an excuse to start making millions of similar sites.

Not exactly fanart, but this is my saiyan character, Angel. Her saiyan name is Laichi (after a lychee, which is named after a Chinese fruit). At first her name bugged me because it's close to Marysue (My name is Angela), but I decided to keep it so long as she had a proper saiyan name and that she looks/acts nothing like me IRL. Angel's red hair I decided comes from a bloodline of saiyans, but has no significance. It is also recessive. Meaning if she had children with a black-haired saiyan then the offspring would have black hair.

This doesn't count compared to you guys who do real art. But I've been trying my hand at sig-making recently, and wanted to see you guys' opinion on these.

And an alternate to the above, slightly...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Well, I'm doing a fandub of GT; with more information here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n1Z1NBwn74

I attempted a English fandub of Alumina and it SUCKED. I personally I think my DAN DAN is way better. I just tried singing so it still might not be that good. I think I'm the first English/American person to fandub it into English, most English fandubs are done by people that are either Spanish or German.

Sorry, if my grammar sucks right now. I shouldn't still be up at 8:48.

I'm don't mean to be rude, but you can't sing at all.

It just sounded like you were reading Steve Simmons' translation in a disinterested monotone voice.

I hate to be twisting the knife here, but I think you might be tone deaf, that didn't sound anything like a song, let alone DAN DAN.

Sorry if that sounded a bit harsh, it's just my honest opinion.

I was trying to be the first  I've been working on my own version of the song, but I was gonna get one of my singer friends to perform it. Did you just sing over the instrumental version? You should have sung with headphones on and then just move the lines into place with Adobe Audition or some other audio program.

I was also going to do other songs like the Pokemon opening had I found an instrumental version and the Zeta Gundam themes, based more on Neil Sedaka's lyrics. I could always try my best to remove the lyrics digitally, though that's always messy.

This man speaks the truth, in addition NEVER try to directly sing a Japanese song's English translation, at least try to make it flow and sound natural to English speakers and still keep the main point of the song...for a real good reference see-

Don't worry Captain Awesome, you're not rude or harsh, it also doesn't help me with the fact that I think I tried this at 3:40 AM, so if though then I think I might sound decent, no I didn't sound decent.

I know what you guys mean. I noticed all the problems right after I had already put in on YouTube. I just gotta re-write the lyrics and sing it in a not monotone, not shitty, actual fits the tone song, or I'll just do the easy thing and leave it in Japanese and just put subs instead.

Yeah, I just removed it and I'm going to re-upload it with the Japanese version with subs, it was only put up there for people to see what the credits looked like and my crappy fandub was a test. I'm trying to get better at singing but that isn't happening... Well, I'll just stick to regular fandubs and doing Voice Acting stuff, I'm actually pretty good at those.

Well, I went and redid the opening by switching it back to Japanese and adding Daimao's subtitles in:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj3ANwARaCo

I wanna know, if this look Professional, well as professional as you can get with Movie Maker.

Also, I made an example of what something in this fandub will sound like:

Just as a heads up for everyone, the fan manga Dragonball RN has announced that they will soon be releasing chapter 5 of their manga:
Dragonball RN wrote:Thanks for your email, chapter 5 is all finished should be up sometime in july ^^ a teaser was just posted today for it on our main page www.dragonballrn.com

DBRN has great artwork and great coloring, but I'm not a huge fan of the story, but hey, it's pretty fun to read so you can check it out here: www.DragonballRN.com

Hooray, DBRN! You get the coveted "You Suck" award!

You never know. Something else might happen. Or maybe they'll explain why these guys are powerful?

The dialogue is awful in Dragonball RN, maybe I'm just being spoiled by the DBAF manga but this comic is just bad...not to mention their chapter updates are atrocious time wise.

That is the very same reason why I read manga such as Elswhere and NS.....they focus on Yamcha and Kuririn respectavely and are not a post GT tale of SSJ99 or some other Larry Stu type of Saiyan.

Too bad Elswhere's site has a virus so I can't visit it.

As some of you know I'm doing a GT fandub and here is an example of what a scene might look like, this has the sound effects in it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ9GDWApUls

Although, I voice Baby in this clip, I'm not going to voice him, unless people like the voice and no one else auditions for him.

For this clip, I didn't follow any script, in the actual fandub though we'll be following a script based on Daimao's subtitles.

I like your artwork, not exact DB style, but still pretty cool.

@Karrit: Thats good, I like how you made Dragonball in a different style. Your coloring is good too

@TAZ: Your style is very interesting, I like the amount of detail

@omegacwa: I've seen your work before, and it looks great! The LAM looks that much better thanks to you!

@bkev: Those are some really nice sigs, Well, better than anything I could do. Nice work!

@Furanki: I can't really watch Youtube vids because I have dial-up, just so you don't think I'm ignoring you >.<

Now, I figured I'd put something up.
I was just bored, so I threw this together, it was inspired by a quote that our very own Rocketman gave me.

I know how much you guys just love meme's
