GT Season One Box (and Other Things) Confirmed

I had always assumed they would make 2 sets :
Season 1 : Episodes 1 to 40 (End of Baby Saga)
Season 2 : Episodes 41 to 64 (End of the Evil Dragons saga) + maybe the TV special.

That seems like the most logical division, but then again that's Funimation (thought let's not be blind, this is the same way for almost every company) so they may split into more parts to make more money.

That sounds kind of bad, but then I look at my Dragonball shelf and see the four huge GT boxes and the TV special

That's because they used to put 3 episodes per DVD, 4 if you're super lucky. With this, lets say they can cram in 6. All logic points to two releases since they can put about 36 episodes (lets even make it 32 to make it even) on the releases. Will they? Somehow I absolutely doubt it. After all, it wouldn't be enough room to write "Dragon Ball GT" along the back after taking the sleeve off. Such genius work going on behind the scenes.

I'm guessing it will either say the GT goin left to right or maybe they will flip it going vertically.

What color do you think; red or black maybe? IF they did the same with DragonBall i would think it would be a blue color and they would have room for 'Dragonball' left to right

I don't know the episode numbers contained in the GT box set, but surely having Goku SSJ4 as the cover is rather premature? Having said that though, the single Dragon Box releases did the same thing so maybe its not so strange. The Season Six cover makes no sense at all to me. Gohan SSJ2 is the obvious choice or even Future Trunks from the end of the season perhaps. Think I might give GT a go though regardless of the bright green cover.

SS 2 Gohan SHOULD be on the cover

I was thinking they would have put Baby Vegeta on this Cover then SS4 Goku on the second one - i guess theres only gonna be 2 season sets for gt? unless the do 7 dvds, 7 dvds , and 6 dvds from the single sets into the 6 disks in the season bricks

Strange choice of color, but...excellent. Now if they'll release the Dragonball episodes in this format as well; the masses can finally have a uniformed set of the entire series. Widescreen, or not I find that exciting.

Pretty much any Funimation product that has that "Digitally Remastered" phrase on the top has been through their Faux remastering system, which means it's wide screen.

FUNi's Slayers season sets were advertised as "digitally remastered" and they weren't in widescreen. I'm not telling anybody to get their hopes up for fullscreen sets, but it is still a possibility, albeit a small one.

Anyway, the GT cover annoys me. The green is okay, but I am so darn sick of that image of Goku. It's everywhere. I thought the point of these new releases was to give us brand new, stunning artwork, not re-use the same crappy images that appear on every DBGT t-shirt and lunchbox in production. Who wants to bet the season two set will feature the boring overused image of Gogeta charging at the audience?

Thats the most horendous pic I've ever seen of gogeta...although it it everywhere as well. Agreed that thats also a crappy pic of ss4 goku.

Since we ARE stuck with goku on the cover AGAIN, they should have atleast made it like the cover of 'sacrifice' dvd from the cell games where goku is about to do the instant transmission t king kias planet with cell. Atleast then it would be the right saga.

I'm hoping it will be SSJ4 Vegeta, and then maybe the art on the spine will make SSJ4 Gogeta, or something. That'd be pretty nifty.
