Agreed, the specials dragged everything out way too long as well as doing that abysmal tournament interruption with Babidi doing his shenanigans. With Super being out, it also feels really outdated now.Hellspawn28 wrote: Sun Jan 15, 2023 7:59 pm 15 years since DBM started, and it's still not finished. It should have ended over a decade ago (like 2012 at least).
I was 17 in HS when it first came out. I'm 31 and I still look back on DBM as a product of a bygone era. DBM came out when the series ended over a decade ago with no new material (The 2008 special wasn't out yet). DBE wasn't out yet, Kai didn't exist yet, and the only things that fans had to keep them invest was video games and merchadise when DBM was fist released. In 2008, the idea of a new Dragon Ball animated series with new transformations, old villains returning, etc was only in the relams of fan fiction. 15 years later, stuff from DBAF has pretty much become a reality.Bardock God of Time wrote: Mon Jan 16, 2023 10:29 am I was in elementary school when this came out, now I got an associate's degree lol
I always felt like DBM should have released things monthly instead a page once every couple of days. It would have improved the pacing and the story would have been over by now.Almighty Majin wrote: Mon Jan 16, 2023 1:04 amAgreed, the specials dragged everything out way too long as well as doing that abysmal tournament interruption with Babidi doing his shenanigans. Does Young Jijii's Dragon Ball AF count? I think that's still ongoingHellspawn28 wrote: Mon Jan 16, 2023 5:10 pmI was 17 in HS when it first came out. Once DBM ends, I will consider it the end of a era. I don't know many DB fan fictions that are still on going from the era before we had anything new.

His AF was published in 2011. DBM barely came out before we had a resurgence of new DB media. The first page of DBM was posted in May 2008 and Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! was released in September 21, 2008. DBE won't be released until another year, and we had another 5 years before we had Battle of Gods. When DBM was first published, the anime has been over since 1997 and GT was the last DB related contented that we had from Toei until 2008.Bardock God of Time wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2023 1:59 pm Does Young Jijii's Dragon Ball AF count?
