Could something be announced on Goku day?

Did anyone notice there is a "59" under the traffic light in chapter 90 that was not there during the drafts? Could it be teasing something important on 5.9 (9th of May), the Goku day? Saikyou_Devin notes that there seems to bigger announces every two years on the Goku day, and small the following years.

But still, Goku Day sounds as good a day as any to announce the return of the anime. I've never made theories about that, I didn't even care or watch the anime until the pandemic, but Super Hero and the 10 years of BoGs sounds like a perfect place to pick things up.

There will probably be something announced on Goku day, but I doubt it's going to be a new anime. I think they'll make a new one eventually, but my gut is telling me we're not going to see it soon. Hopefully I'm wrong though, would love to see a big budget remake of the entire Dragon Ball story, and the Moro/Granolah story arcs animated.

Considering Toei is gearing up to do a new Kinnikuman series, I wouldn't expect anything more than another movie for the next several years.

I'm so pissed that nothing was announced in Anime Japan and they didn't even promise anything. But yeah my patience just run out. Everything is getting announced, except Dragon Ball. The fact that even Kinnikuman will come back before Dragon Ball is ridiculous!

Sailor Moon, Precure, Kinnikuman, Digimon, Dragon Quest Dai... all officially confirmed to get new animated content. Moneymaker Dragon Ball?! Nothing. Oh yeah for the next months we will have a manga retelling of a movie we already saw shot for shot...

Maybe we will get something on Goku Day, but for now there's no reason to think the rumored web anime will come out this year or if even it exists... Too much going on and nothing involving Dragon Ball. The leakers have been wrong about DBS return since 2019 anyway.

Dragon Ball have 40th anniversary next year. I think its pretty save -something- animated will be produced then. Will it be announced on Goku day this year? probably not.

Nothing about the anime was announced on Goku Day and once again it was proven DB doesn't have any good leakers for the anime.
Even the most reliable leakers for other series all they can do is tweet cryptic messages, so they can easily back away when nothing happens and say it was a misunderstanding.

Because they have to soon to keep making money from Dragon Ball. They're currently producing something, I'm sure of that.
