sounds exactly like him. ridiculous lol.
Not exactly. That new Abridged Series is funny and a lot of the voices sound similar to Funimation's and some of the Ocean cast's(That's a good thing), but I've never heard anyone who can mimic the Piccolo voice almost perfectly. The closest to that would be Gozar. But, the new series does have a good Vegeta voice actor.

The guy they got to replace Tenshinhan's VA Hirotaka Suzuoki in Burst Limit disappointed me, since Tenshinhan is one of my top favorite characters, the new guy doesn't sound quite enough like him most of the time (although a couple are almost dead on). I was REALLY hoping they would just use dialogue from the previous games, I'm pissed that they didn't, Tenshinhan had one of my favorite voices in the show.

And when Nozawa dies, especially if it happens soon, I will be EXTREMELY upset. I'm so glad she still has the ability to the voices at her age for the games, although sometimes in some lines her voice gets a bit "off", which is upsetting. If she passes away or can't do the voice anymore they better use her previous recordings, casting somebody else would be completely unacceptable, so if they're ever going to do a new story scenario in a game or OAV which would require new recorded dialogue they better hurry up and do it.

I found his dialogue was usually fine. (I mean it's a video game, I don't care that much)

But his in game grunts and whatnot were earbleedingly off.

It's like Muten Roshi in Sparking! Meteor.

Makes my ears bleed.

Well, they've been doing this for just about 20+ years. So by 2015, they'll all be dead.

Not... necessarily. Ryo Horikawa (Vegeta) is 50. Ryusei Nakao (Freeza) is under 60. Takeshi Kusao (Trunks) is, I think, 42. Most of them are in that 40-60 range. I doubt they'll all be dead in 7 years.

Ryo can't die ever. I won't let him.

It's a matter of opinion but I think he does a great job with all of his roles as of the past few years.

All of Sabat's voices are very easy to imitate. I can do it quite easily when not even trying.

You want a difficult voice to mimic try Yasuo Yamada (Lupin) or any of Mel Blanc's characters. It's impossible.

Agreed, whether you like Chris Sabat or not, you have to admit that his voices for the most part are just a variations on his speaking voice, he doesn't really depart very far from that.

Exactly, the DBZ Abridged Vegeta and many other fan voice-overs of Vegeta are very accurate, finding a voice similar to Sabats Vegeta or Piccolo will not be anything impossible.

Roshi however...

Yeah, that's been on my mind since....since I found out that she was so old. And I doubt that many people can mimic her voice.
If anything ever happened to Masako Nozawa, I'd be happy to take her place. I've managed to mimic her voice perfectly through just messing around. Its sort of strange though, considering I'm a pretty big guy who grows a full beard in about day, and used to have an extremely deep natural voice.

I would not say his voices are 'easy to mimic', espicially if you want a 'Are you sure it isn't really him?' reaction from people.

FUNimation Entertainment is proud to announce the DRAGON BALL Z ULTIMATE ORIGINAL DVD Series!

Due to the untimely passing of fan favorite Chris Sabat, FUNimation Entertainment has signed three voice actors who voiced Vegeta, Yamcha, and Piccolo in the original dub of Dragon Ball Z from FUNimation Entertainments early days.

Brain Drummond returns as Vegeta, Ted Cole returns as Yamacha, and Scott McNeil returns as Piccolo in the new DRAGON BALL Z ULTIMATE ORIGINAL Series, now with MORE voice acting, MORE screaming, MORE Sound effects, MORE Boom effects, and NEW JAPANESE BGM that'll blow your socks off.

FUNimation Entertainment is also working on scanning every single frame of film from 10th generation copies of the ORIGINAL JAPANESE FILM MASTERS they recieved from Toei, and they've photoshoped every single frame with new Blast effects, Laser effects, Light effects and even 4D effects now in Pillar Screen Format 4:16.

Coming soon to a store near you........
