Being killed isn't a natural death, and like i said in the actual canon he never protested over getting them new dragon balls for the purpose of circumventing death regardless of the "threat level", such a concept is never uttered in the series, it is pure fan speculation.TobyS wrote: Fri Apr 28, 2023 4:38 pmGiving a living guy directions is not the same as helping the dead contact the living to circumvent their natural deaths to fight guys who are less of a cosmic threat than freeza.Ashur wrote: Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:56 amHe did intervene to get New Namek's location in the Cell Arc we had, so he can do it, Cell was still just a threat to the Earth at that time, in fact Kaioh doesn't even question the threat level he obliges Goku's request to get the new dragon balls simply because Goku asked and explained what happened, so he would want to intervene like that if he did so (in a more direct way btw) in the main timeline, the only reason why he wouldn't help to locate it is if the earth's fighters simply never asked him.TobyS wrote: Tue Apr 18, 2023 11:02 am
Kaio just cant/doesn't want to intervene.
There's explanations.
I see a lot of people saying the dead shouldn't die at the same time as Kami because that would prevent them from getting his permission to maintain their bodies, but that is simply false as we see in the Frieza Arc, the Z Warriors still retained their bodies by Kami's persmission to go train with Kaioh, even though Kami was dead himself, his powers and position as god of the Earth still grants him leverage, all the more reason it is strange he seemingly never helped with this.
It is all simply a massive logical gap in Trunks' future, it doesn't make sense considering the immense ammounts of get out of jail free cards the protagonists collected up to this point (2 sets of dragon balls, spaceships that can travel to Namek in mere months, the aid of certain gods like Kami or Kaioh), they all get ignored in favor of the gritty, dark and realistic Future Trunks timeline even happening.
This is a concept Toriyama threw in without much care for how the larger universe would accomodate it.
Speaking of said threat level, the very fact that the androids are stronger than Frieza should be enough for Kaioh to comply.
At the end of the day it's just directions, the Dragon Team are directly responsible for getting them a New Namek in the first place so it's fair that they should at least be told where it is, in fact he doesn't have to have the dead contact the living he can just call Bulma.
Also he previously helped the dead contact the living and get everyone from Earth who died against the Saiyans revived on the grounds that he knew and liked them, he never intended for them to fight Frieza or any space threat, why is it that he can help dead people then but not now? It's not like it was for the purpose of stopping a big threat like Frieza as he thought no one had a chance against him.
The series made it extremely aparent that Kaioh is always willing to help with these sorts of things, the main characters had countless resources to avoid Trunks' future yet we are supposed to believe that all those story arcs of accumulating "get out of jail free" cards weren't beneficial in the slightest.
