I'm in utter disbelief that someone just asked that question on MY forum, no-less.
And I'm just as shocked that they randomly asked it on the 14th page of a thread dedicated to a video game.

Not sure. Wouldn't mind seeing it. And it would also be interesting to see how he plays when compaired to Buu Saga Gohan. There's a high chance he'll be stronger and I doubt he'll know KameHame Ha.Izlude wrote:Does this mean he'll be fighting with one arm?Caracal wrote: Adult Gohan (Future)
[edit] This is assuming he's in the game. I am aware there's a chance he won't be used. I can't say I'd blame them as he's really a one off character.

I looked through all seven pages of those images. They're the same ones we've seen everywhere. I don't see any more characters that I haven't already confirmed over on "The Buzz."
I don't particularly trust anything I see on that site (being "Legacy"... and they got THEIR information from ANOTHER site... ugh...). It's plagued with grammar problems, ads, and a general non-authoritative atmosphere. Until someone can actually confirm any of those characters, I say it's bull. It'd be nice, but c'mon... I can type a list of whatever I want, too, and put it up on my site... doesn't make it fact...

I know this was asked before, but why IS Brolly twenty feet tall in this game? I know he was pretty tall in the anime, but for crackin' ice...! At least we can get a glimpse of how really improved the character models are... Well... at least the Brolly one looks good. Can't see Goku and Gogeta since they're so small.
They'd better have more new characters than Brolly and Coola. And they better not be from GT.
And no, fusions and transformations don't count.

Krillin used it against Cell while he was in his first form. Only in the anime though, not in the manga.Izlude wrote:If Pilaf appears in a DBZ fighting game, then I want Shou and Mai in there too! Mai is hawt...and no do not remind me of her looks in GT...![]()
Yeh having those two would be enough to use the move, we dont need Goku and Cell both using it as well, last thing we need is more characters with the same moves lol...Zackarotto wrote: Who could use Taiyo-Ken? I was thinking only Tenshinhan and Kuririn, but who used it on 1st stage Cell?
But I cant remember if anyone used it on 1st Stage Cell...actually... I think Cell used it in his first stage to escape from Piccolo. He used it again in his second stage too.
At least with Brolly's 00ber size we know they have the ability to make Oozaru fighters in the future.

I don't see anything wrong with how they made Brolly. That's the way he was in the movies - tall, buff and badass (not to mention stupid, but that's another story). Trailer looks good, but I want a PAL version with Japanese voices and English subtitles. I HATE dub voices.
Adn yes, Kuririn does know Taiyoken. He used it to escape from Dodoria, and later on Frieza. Goku too knows this technique - the showed it on 23 Tenkaichi Budokai.

Today is supposed to be some kind of offical word on the game. Not sure what exactly but I'm going to go looking for it. And I don't want Japanese voices in the NA version, at least not as the only audio (doubt they'd do that anyway). They can add it as a second audio track if they want, but I want the English voices.
What I really want is more information on Dragon Road. That has seriously got my interest. I want know if it uses existing characters or if it has a character creation system to it.

How very true, Izlude. I hope that the trait-building feature (speed, strength, etc) I heard about isn't BS, and I hope you can use those characters against other players' characters.
Really, I don't care if they have a create-a-character mode; it's Dragonball, and that's why I'm getting it. To just make some character that A) will probably look either too retarded, too blah, or too much like something that crawled out of GT and B) I decide he/she/it should be stronger than every other character for no reason seems pointless and taints the game. It wouldn't hurt too much for other people I guess, but I'd rather they concentrate remaining development time on more characters, more attack variety, better graphics, and more modes for multiplayer and so on. But that's just my opinion...
And I don't recall Brolly being QUITE that tall. I don't remember Goku only coming up to just below his crouch in total height. Maybe I'm wrong.

Broli's height seems to change in various scenes in movie 8; sometimes he was only as tall as Piccolo, then he was nearly double that size transformed. And in one scene was as big as friggin house.oponok wrote:And I don't recall Brolly being QUITE that tall. I don't remember Goku only coming up to just below his crouch in total height. Anyways, about Budokai 3 being bilingual, it's a nice thought but I wouldn't hold my breath. I get the feeling that they had some reason for having the first two games in their language-of-origin form, and it certainly wasn't the ridiculouse "Not enough room on the disc" excuse Atari made. I hate to say it, but it's probably a case of censorship. Afterall in Budokai 1 they ONLY refer to Mr. Satan as his retarded dub name, and even have a mode named after him.
Like with PAL DBZB1. I also wish they'd do that with DBZB3, but I feel they should put in subtitles everywhere rather than just story mode. I had no idea what they were saying before and after battles, when you entered the tourniment etc.Fuujin wrote:I don't see anything wrong with how they made Brolly. Hmmm.... Didn't B1 and B2 come out in Europe first in November? I know we didn't get B2 until december 2nd here in the states... I ask because I just looked at Gamefaqs's release dates for B3. I've also seen a few articles that said something similar.
Also, I found this article on Neoseeker:Gamefaqs wrote:Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 Atari 11/16/04 NA
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 Atari 12/30/04 EU
Dragon Ball 3 Bandai 12/31/04 JP
Neoseeker wrote:"DBZ Budokai 3 is the next video game of Dragon Ball combat, which will leave on PS2 one year after Budokai 2's release. The two titles having had much Atari success, indeed DBZ games appear among the best sales for the company. We know very few things for the moment, but more info will be released soon enough. Budokai 2 was slightly disappointing for its lack of innovations compared to the first episode put at by graphics. What this third installment hold for us?
This time the developers will try to evolve/move their play on the side of the gameplay, and apparently evolve the graphics too. First a choice which can be a good one, the jouability was the weak point of preceding the softwares. One notes the first images that Budokai 3 resembles the second Budokai extremely. There however remains still several months before the end of the development. Hopefully this will be enough to make some big changes.
In any case what is the primary importance is above all the game play. From now on Budokai 3 wants to be nearer to the combat in the action packed anime. For example the phases of flight should be freer. More so telaporting between the ground and air should be more natural. It will be possible to move instantaneously to go behind your enemy to surprise attack him/her. This technique will also be useful for leaving ground combat in a critical situation. Another interesting point, pressing the button at a specific moment lets the player dodge the blow of his/her enemy. Reappearing will then give a blow/blast to the enemy. It will also be possible from now on to do an attack on your own (Warp kamehameha) if you realized. Finally remember some times in the anime a character knocked his enemy to the air by a blow and then caught up with him/her while teleporting for example to give another blow to him. This sequence will be possible to carry out several times as long as the ki guage has energy left.
Concerning the characters more then forty will be playable. Like the new video shows the presence of Broly, Cooler, Gogeta, and SS4 Goku. As you can see movie characters and DBGT characters will make their appearance. Which brings joy of being able to control Broly, one of the characters preferred to some fans. Also a new mode is being added for the first time being able to customize characters to your style, the new mode is called "Dragon Road". It will be necessary to choose a character and to customise 6 of these points such as attack, and defense. Your enemy will not be informed of this information and will have to discover them during the combat for their selves. With him/her then having to adapt to the situation and to discover the weak points. A mode which can be interesting at first sight. Let us hope that the history mode will make its return, but for the moment no information on this subject is available.
To finish, one can hope that the characters have the original voices. The possibility for the moment isn't excluded. This will depend on the time the developers have left. They know that it's a significant point for the big fans of the series. The date of release is planned for the end of the year (November-December) in America. Already chose your gift for Christmas?"
Gameplay Information:
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 runs on the same engine as the past two Budokai's. Intense hand to hand combat and explosive Ki Energy attacks. Players fight in destructable 3D enviroments, testing their combat skills to the highest level.
Background Inforamtion:
Background: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 is the third installment in ATARI's highly successful Budokai Series. Take control of the strongest fighters in the Dragon Ball Z Universe and fight to the death against your greatest foes.
Description:
One will find there new characters OAV and DBGT, always equipped with cell-shading. There will be the possibility of disappearing and of reappearing in the back of your adversary to surprise it and him to put full gencives of them. If ever your rival wants to make you leave the boxing ring, you will always be able to you téléporter to reappear in the medium of the arena. An aerial combat was added, and the developers promise more natural transitions between the phases from air-to-ground combat. Another large innovation, "the Road Dragon". This mode will enable you to publish your character and to set out again of the points according to 6 criteria: power of attack, defense, agility etc... In the principal menu is always the championship mode of the world, duel mode, drive mode, options mode and the achat/modif mode techniques. One will have to gain a mode hidden to entitle "Legend of saiyan". A new system of rescindable attacks could be and the possibility of controlling more than 40 characters and of course there will be new fusions Gogeta style and new transformations, the ssj 4 for sangoku and vegeta and even Gogeta. One hopes for the Japanese and nonAmerican ways. Broly already seen in a video, will make its appearance and will have as drank to destroy all that is on its passage. They announce its exit on November 15, 2004.

I love how the first part of that is the exact order and spellings I've used in all of my updates, as seen over on "The Buzz."
And the rest is all newbie spellings. "Turles." HAH. That's not "news," that's regurgitated web-fan-theory.

The idea of having a bi-lingual game isnt completely out of the question... they could always include a 2nd disc or even make the disc double sided w/ a seperate language track, that in fact work.Deus ex Machina wrote: and it certainly wasn't the ridiculouse "Not enough room on the disc" excuse Atari made. Budokai 2 barely takes up a gig on the disc. In fact, rippers just reduce the bitrate of the audio to make it fit on a CD-R.
So it's not like they're using CDs, which means there's no logical excuse for "not enough space," because they ARE using DVDs, and there IS another three gigs of space available.
*sniff, sniff*... wh... what's tha... *sniff*... Oh, it's bullshit.
Make the damn game just like DVDs... bilingual, with the default to English. The kiddies won't care if the Japanese is on there if it doesn't default to it. I'm sure it's just all about paying the royalties to the original seiyuu.

I know Budokai 2 definitly had plenty of space, there was hardly that much use in the audio track! But I think Budokai 1 is probably a lot bigger.
But if thats not the case, then the PS2 is definitly not being completely taken full advantage of, nor is the X-Box. Damn game developers, if your gonna make the game, at least rape it of everything!
