Toriyama's daughter Wedding crashing

I get it it's none of my business, or anybody else's for that matter, but over on Twitter, I saw a few people stating that the Japanese media crashing his daughter's wedding is supposedly the reason why we haven't heard much from him publicly since that day.

All I can say, is that I guess that makes sense, if that is indeed the reason, and if I was him, I'd probably do that, too.

Aren’t Japanese celebrities very private and reclusive in general, especially mangaka?

Are they really like that in general? We see famous game designers like Miyamoto, Kojima, Sakaguchi, etc. from time to time.

Akira Toriyama and Satoshi Tajiri (creator of Pokemon) are notoriously private yes, probably have their reasons too. I'm sure other Japanese content creators are, but it's likely not a universal thing.

Similar to this, Connery became less public after Bond Mania hit its fever pitch around Goldfinger. At a premiere, a fan dove into his limousine. when personal boundaries are crossed, I get why public figures become more reclusive.

Pardon my french, but that's a shitty thing to happen! To anyone.

The media have no morale to invade people's private lives like that. Yeah, that person is on the TV, people love them, but that's where it ends (unless the person embraces it and gives consent).
Same thing with fans, I am buying products on various media and I own the copy of the product, I do not own the product himself, hell I don't own the people behind it (creators, actors) and they don't owe us anything – except for delivering quality product as best as they can (and with the state of Hollywood right now for example, under the best circumstances) and then we decide if we buy it or not.

I am always angry, when there is some news surrounding George R. R. Martin and people just swarm in with comments: When will you finish those darn books you've promised us?!
