Why is Kaio-sama still dead? + more questions...

Post by Spyderjsr » Fri Jul 16, 2004 1:48 am

K this prolly just falls in line with one of the many mix ups in DB/Z/GT but I have not seen the episode in awhile nor in the original japanese.

After Cell is defeated the wish was to bring back all those killed or absorbed by Cell right? Then Why in the later episodes of Dbz is Kaiosama still dead? I know Goku wanted to stay dead but I dont believe Kaio, and his Co. wished the same thing. It may be just a wording issue with the wish but I was curious.

Also another pointless question. How many Fingers does Porunga have? I ask this only because unless I was in some sort of insulin induced haze I could have sworn I saw him with 4 fingers in one episode (kid buu saga) and in the next episode he has 5... Just wondering if I am on crack or this was actually a little mistake.

Hm...maybe the Dragon believed Kaio-sama's death was more Goku's fault than Cells?

hmmm. I could prolly look at it in that aspect. But if that was the reason I'd still be pissed at Shenlong "WHAT??!! You Jerk don't knickpick so much, JUST DO IT!!"

And it would soooo be Krillin doin it.

For the record, why did noone think of reviving Kaiou with that final wish? It took them some time before deciding one removing those bombs.

They didn't know where Goku took Cell, just where Goku was when he talked to them from beyond the grave. For all they know he teleported into the room of S+T where only he+Cell would have gone boom. I always chalked up their (Kaio+Bubbles) remaining dead to a mistake made by Toriyama, but now that I think of it, it kind of DOES make sense that their deaths were a "team effort" between Goku+Cell, so the first wish really SHOULD have been "bring back everybody killed by Goku+Cell these last few weeks".

In the comics, Porunga (like the Namekian people, themselves) has only 4 fingers on each hand. I'm much less certain about the anime, but it's likely that they gave him 5 fingered-hands, just as they did to Piccolo and the other Namekians. The reason behind such a change was probably so that the animators wouldn't have to remember to draw 4 fingers each time (instead of 5)... but if not, then I have no clue. :?

It would be better if you gave a describing name to the topic instead of things like "quick question" and "can somebody help me with this?". It's not so much of a problem here yet, but almost every topic will be like that on GameFAQs, so if you want to post a question, you have to look through every topic to see if that question has been asked yet...

Erhgg. Try not to do that.

I try and go and change subject titles in instances like these. I forget to do it a lot, but I mean to ^^. Agreed, though.

I haven't seen the Japanese, but I remember the dub said the wish as everyone on Earth who was killed by Cell.

I guess it doesn't really make that much difference for Kaio and Bubbles (and Gregory) as they lived in the world of the after life ('next dimension') anyways (was gonna say Otherworld, but that's not right..)

Okay, I know it's GT, but...

I already know Kaio-sama is dead. Gods can die. It's true. But in the first episode of the "Super 17 Saga", Kaio-sama has a cold. Okay, breathe in...

Kaio-sama is DEAD and a GOD. That's two strikes against him on why he can't have a cold!

You know, I never stopped to think of the ridiculousness of that scenario before, that a dead Kaio could get sick.

Goku also sneezed when he was dead running along Snake Way. Maybe Bacteria also goes to heaven?

Probably. Even in death you can get sick! :D

As for the Kaiou-sama getting sick thing, that was probably just a gag. I didn't really take it seriously.

Um the reason Goku sneezed while running on Serpent Road, was because Piccolo had just finished talking about him to Gohan. When he mentions that Goku can't train his own son because he'd be too soft. In Japan, it's an old superstition that you sneeze when someone is talking about you. So that's really there for humour, nothing else.
