Very dry year for Dragon Ball, and I feel like all 3 companies (Bandai, Shueisha, Toei) recognize this. Wasn't DB even trending when the 10/12 event first got announced? If it doesn't turn out to be something new that'll actually progress the franchise like an anime or a new manga arc, or something that could hold us over like the new Tenkaichi, I'm just going to assume they resent their DB consumer-base.

Really hard to say that without coming across as ridiculous and immature, but it's crazy. All the money Dragon Ball makes and the only consistent stream of content we get are the monthly manga which isn't even doing anything important right now - may as well be on hiatus (again), and the updates for the gacha games, which not everybody plays.

I know they're leaving Dragon Ball like this because it makes enough money without an anime or an HQ game every year, but wouldn't they also ease up on it if even more if sales started to decline? It's a lose-lose situation, right?

Take that with a grain of salt, didn't the last sequel speculation thread get locked because he was so mad his "leak" didn't turn out to be true.

No? The last thread was locked because despite me being very up front about simply being wrong, it devolved into conspiracy theories about One Piece lol

I make no excuses for 2019. Was a whole mixture of embarrassing confirmation bias and confidently incorrect behaviour. Won't and haven't played any part in that rumour mongering since. If I say anything now, it's because I've seen it. Super Hero being CG was one, this is another.

Ah! DB remake, GT remake, Super 2.0, webseries. So many questions and theories. I really love this phase when we get announcement of an announcement and all we can do is speculate. Reminds me of 2018 when we got the teaser and also the teaser for super hero. I love reading all the speculations this is part of the experience for me.

I don't know how it works so idk, could this really be it? I really doubt, the web anime rumours started exactly 1 year ago, I really doubt a stop motion series with episodes that are barely a minute long would really be such project

My only guess is they want to really get far ahead in the manga so they can have a good schedule. Maybe seasonal anime?
