Apparently(going off translation), this is part of the select screen?..

Image

The select screens of BT3(and 2) had character images overlaid against a static image of a currently selected stage, If the translation is accurate, then SZ may be doing something similar but with 3D models over a real-time stage backdrop?

I want 3v1 fights or 2v1. Can't remember if in the previous installments, 2v1 or 3v1 were a thing.

If I remember correctly, you didn't have to do a full team of 5, so you could theoretically do any combination of fights between 1v1 to 5v5. Also, there was a side mode in Tenkaichi 3 called DP Battles where characters cost different "destruction points", kinda like Supersonic Warriors if I remember correctly.

I used to play 1v5 all the time. Good times.

I just hope team battle is an option, and not the standard.

I mean, they'll never made it the standard in BT2, BT3, Raging Blast, or RB2, why would they suddenly start now?

Hey, nice to hear from Sergio again. Didn't see him anymore after the Xenoverse period. I remember him getting stuff right, so I guess this is it for the release date, if Bandai Namco doesn't change it for some reason.

Still, a few months away and over a year since its announcement, still nothing relevant to talk about. No word if the story mode will be an unfortunate Dragon Ball Z retelling or if it will present some nice new story. No confirmation on new characters, just returning ones from previous games and obviously the ones from Dragon Ball Super. No nothing, basically.

May I please get some substantial news, please?
I've come to tear you apart, Sharpshot!

I remember him datamining stuff back during Xenoverse 1's closed beta, those were interesting times. I wonder if he'll datamine Sparking Zero things in the future like future DLCs maybe in the game's code or cut content.

I hope the game has a story mode but honestly not sure if we're going to get one...

Raditz to Broly or Superhero would be cool

That would probably mean an unfinished game but I guess they want to time it for Daima...

Sean Schemmel revealed he’s put 60-80 hours of voice acting into Sparking: Zero, probably longer...

That's insane. Really hoping for a good story mode.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

What makes you think it will be unfinished?

Because of how raw and unfinished the game was looking in several aspects not long ago.

Maybe the upcoming trailers will show some improvement, like the weird looking bangs. Not sure if it was true, but I read a while ago that the off-looking hair strands were noted and suppossed to be corrected.

Many devs release trailers of quite older builds than the current ones. Hopefully that's the case - even though the game looks extremely polished to me in most aspects.

I think the backgrounds need a lot more work, for example. A multitude of things have been mentioned by others. Another thing is that they showed a lot of improvements through different trailers during little time frame. I hope the gameplay is solid.

We'll see, we'll see. Back in the PS2 era I was a hardcore Budokai fan and never touched the Tenkaichi series - I thought the animation was so stiff compared to Dimps' work, although I always respected the roster number.

In the PS3 era, I bought RB2 and I had a little fun, though some gameplay mechanics looked asinine to me (i.e. having to circle the thumbstick for longer and longer for your character to get back based on how little health he had left).

Hopefully Sparking! Zero will do away with the tediousness and evolve the formula to even greater heights - the animation alone has me very impressed.

Ultra Instinct Goku confirmed to be in the base game, based on it's Steam Icon:
Also the fact that it's YET ANOTHER game where UI Goku gets leaked early is hilarious

Ew, gross.

Things still aren't looking good for the game's roster overall.
Dragon Ball ended in 1997.
