Why are the English dubisms far too ingrained into the fandom?

I haven't been as active here in the last few months but since I started dropping back in, I fell under the impression Kanzenshuu had become a dub fan's paradise. I see hardly any sub/dub elitism. Every new topic seems to be about some obscure Peruvian, Yugoslavian, High Elvish dub that two, three or maybe even four people have possibly seen in the entire global population. I tend not to get involved personally but I'm glad they have an audience.

This post is awesome it made me laugh despite the fact Peru uses the famous Mexican Latin American dub lol.

Kanzenshuu is just becoming more and more of an inclusive community. In its earlier years dubs weren't talked about enough, today you have posters like myself, Tian, TheRed259, Cure Dragon 255 making up for lost time by creating great threads about the dubs because there's so much to discuss about them. Most importantly we're good dub fans, we're not part of the "lulz Masako Nozawa's grandma Goku sucks" brigade, we love the dubs AND the Japanese version because ultimately this community would be nowhere near as good if both didn't exist.

Um, to be honest, I used to think that Masako's Goku sounded like a grandma but this was the perception of a seven year old (my age at the time) who was playing Final Bout and was listening the Japanese cast for the first time and was used to both Mario Castañeda and Wendel Bezerra's performances.

Of course, over the years, that perception changed and I've come to appreciate her work the more I heard it.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with something being an acquired taste. I found it weird to begin with, never heard any adult male voiced like that but I wasn't used to Japanese voice acting. Obviously the more I watched the more it grew on me.

I do wish western voice acting used women for adult males other than grown up versions of characters commonly portrayed as kids (at least in English, maybe its different for other languages, we do have a Macedonian female adult Goku anyway). Imagine Tara Strong as Batman or any major adult male. Hell she could probably pull off a good Goku of any age.
